The show has easily improved on last year, it's a start on returning it to former glory. I still don't understand why people who hate it continue to watch it. Find something better to do with your time then come on here and bitch about it :lol:

Thought it was the best show in years. Sterlo and Daley will add some sense to the panel. No Geyer is a HUGE plus. Gus's profile on Sonny Bill was good, and there was lots of league talk.

I don't rate the show terribly well either. However I don't mind it enough to watch it, and when I do watch it, I don't run here and post whatever I can find wrong with it even when it's improved. It had a lot more NRL talk compared to last year's usual.

Given it is only the first episode..

I dont mind comedy....when its actually funny! In the past there have been some classic off the cuff moments involving the players.
Today, it is the dingbats like Harragon and Johns who want to steal the limelight

I think the show could really be improved by getting rid of Harrogon and just having Johns as a side act at most, I don't think Johns has any more material than 5 mins worth a show. Fatty should be "gonski's" as well.

I quite honestly think the NRL footy show is an insult to peoples intelligence,the AFL one aint far behind.
Sack the lot of them and put The Barefoot Rugby League show on instead

Nine executives are delighted with the first Footy Show ratings for the year. On Thursday night, the show peaked at 583,000 and averaged 332,000 in Sydney, winning the ratings in every quarter hour.

Personally I think they went in the right direction last Thursday night, taking a lot of time (and pressure) off Fatty, Johns and Chief and giving other Sterlo and Gould active roles in the show.

Stop writing in & complaining that the footy Show on Thurs isn't serious enough. Get it through your heads IT WILL NEVER BE. The Thurs Footy show is there for a different dema graphic, get families interested in the game , especially WOMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU WANT SERIOUS TALK WATCH THE SUNDAY FOOTY SHOW. THINK OUTSIDE THE CIRCLE GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people are hard to please aren't they!!!!

It comes down to a simple choice.

1. Footy Show - Light-hearted entertainment, getting us revved up for the weekend games

Or

2. Sunday Roast - More serious analytical show, more for the footy purist.

Take your pick and stop f**king whinging about the other one.
