Im sorry I Know I am a Bulldogs supporter

But how does Dale Finucane not make it after being picked the SG ball player of the year? It Does not make sense

And Also thought Liam Ayoub would be a better option then Tyrone Roberts and Matt Moylan. Jacob Miller is a bit more versatile so I understand that.

And another one is Ratu Tagive. It does not make sense. He is an awesome winger/centre/fullback.

Doesnt Matter, I think they have been making mistakes at this age for years!

However from a few selection disappointments it should be a very strong side.

From that i would pick

1 Nathan Massey
2 William Hopoate
3 Matthew Wright
4 Junior Rogica
5 Faleula Finau
6 Albert Kelly
7 Sam Williams
8 Aaron Woods
9 Cameron King
10 Jake Finn
11 Ryan James
12 Ethan Cook
13 Boyd Cordner

14 Magnus Stormquist
15 Paul Vaughan
16 Lachlan Burr/Alex Mckinnon
17 Lucas Grech

The team was picked prior to the Grand Final. No one from the Dogs, Melbourne or 20s players picked yet they will be added to the squad over next few weeks.

You make a very valid point on whether selections are based on reputation or form. I think a mixture of both.

Wests were unlucky not to have a few more such as prop Pale Tanumaleu, hooker Lachlan Bristow and Brasington as you suggested. He has a great kicking game.

With Jacob Gagen being ruled out with injury perhaps the selectors will look at West's fullback James Tedesco who troubled the Eels in the semi final last week.

Rambo you obviously follow the Harold Matts very closely.

I ended up watching nearly all the Wests Harold Matt's games except for the semi finals and I couldn't agree more with you.

Those 4 players Pale Tanumaleu, Lachlan Bristow, James Tedesco and Mitch Brassington along with Sonny Bristow(mentioned by Junior fan) would be the next lot behind David Nofoaluma and Jake Townsend.

I noticed Tedesco was in the team of the week after both semi finals they won and you say he also troubled the Eels.

I suppose having all 7 in the NSW team would be asking a bit much

Anyhow all looks good for the future at Wests and I am sure the young lads will get a chance in years to come.

Never going to get best U/16's and U/18's NSW teams picking out of Sydney teams only. Many good youngsters still playing in the bush. Bloke from Kyogle called Blake Anderson who I would bet my left nut would be better then some of the blokes that get named.

They aren't going to find everyone ... there's a number of country players in the under 18s squad, but obviously they are already in NRL systems.

The under 16s have 5 CRL players. In 2007, Wes Suckley, Alec Butschies and Alex McMillan played NSW Under 17s out of the CRL ... Malcolm Webster, Jake Anelziak, Sterling Siejka, Brad Graham played in the possibles/probables game.

Actually I was told that Suckley wasn't selected, by mistake, and then when they figured out he should have been there, he had to rush down late for the possibles/probables game. Like all rugby league it can be a bit of a mess at times.

Good luck to the CRL boys!
Just because you played HMs this year doesn't mean you're gonna be the star in a couple of years when the whips are cracking, plenty of good players come from the country areas good to see them get a shot!

That is a strong side.

But there are a few missing who I think many thought would make it such as Tuivasa, Vescio, Noufoulama, McGrady, McGuinness...
