Unfortunately they are not allowed to come in here and answer questions from all of you, as much as they would like to...

Yes they probably have broken the new by-laws. If the current board cancel their candicacy there will be a massive outcry from the Members.

Members who have nominated for election to the board of the Penrith District Rugby League Football Club Limited and the board of Penrith Rugby League Club Limited are requested not to make comments or statements about their candidacy or the candidacy of any other person by way of Mass Information Media during the course of the elections, which is the period from when nominations close to when the ballot closes.

If the restrictions only relate to social media and on property owned by the Panthers, then it's a well played article in today's SMH.

The paper surely doesn't fall under the umbrella of social media and the photo was taken on property owned by Penrith City Council.

The board doesn't have a leg to stand on while they stay off Panther's sites and probably doesn't have a case even for its own sites. If they were crazy enough to ban Nige and Nads I reckon someone would go to the corporations watchdog.

Nothing in the article to say that these 2 aren't worth a shot. Time will tell if they are good board members or not. However they seem to have some great ideas time will tell how they go.

On the article. Nigel is right we should have a centre of excellance. We have the gym & the classrooms under the Eastern stand. All it would take is 1 Admin person & a F/T coach. Get players, NRL squad staff to run classes on attitude etc. Nadim is right about the juniors early this year there was a schoolboy tournament at St Mary's the only team without a scout was us. If we can't even send a scout locally we have problems.

The new by-laws cannot apply to this election. The Board can pass by-laws but if they tried to apply them to this election they would not be upheld in any court as they were passed after the election had started. That is after nominations had closed.

Good on Nigel and Nadim for calling the boards bluff.

They really had no other choice. It'd be damn near impossible to get elected with those restrictions in place. It doesn't matter how many of us read forums and vote for Nigel and Nadim, but it's nowhere near as many people who'll just vote for the candidates with asterix's next to there names.

Now that they've presented some of there idea's and identified themselves with some more voting members than those of us on forum's they now stand half a chance.

Surely the board understand that if they try and come down on Nigel and Nadim, they will. a) Force their newly created by-laws to be tested at court; And b) Create a great deal of animosity with the membership and a great deal of negative publicity, which will all result in lower patronage.

The key to getting this result won't be voting for nads or Nigel, but having a mass information sharing session deciding which 2 won't be getting voted for.

I've seen it before.

The old donkey vote carries a lot of weight in spreading out the votes of those that don't really care but vote out of habit and vote for who they are told to vote for.

The key will be getting several hundred people into a well informed network close to election day and all NOT voting for 2 people.

These plans are well underway.

It's OK, its only a request not to make comment. I request my kids to clean their rooms and do their homework but no one listens to me when I request them to. It's only when I jump up and down and threaten action they take notice.

From memory(they've removed the bylaws from that other site ) the rules were so badly written it seemed they were threatening members and candidates and that was probably deliberate.
