Merv was a great man and lets hope we can get Nige and Nads on the board so we can get this and other important changes.

All is quiet. Is this the calm before the storm.

I was thinking are Nigel and Nads working together on this. If they are serious they need to target the same old codgers.

Example.

Imagine 600 people vote.

Imagine - Nadim gets 200 voters that will follow his plan and Nige gets also 200 but 100 of them are common to both. That is they each have 300 votes.

If they both target A & B then there are only 300 votes left that A & B can get and both Nige and Nads are certain t get a spot.

But if they target different ones of the old codgers then the anti-codger votes get split into 2 lots of 150. That means they still have 450 votes available and both could still miss.

I hope there is cooperation there. I haven't heard a thing about who are the targets - my vote could be completely wasted. With so few voting who can afford to waste a vote.

Some action today on the Election.

Gus telling people the Board should be returned.

Feltis telling people they deserve to be returned.

What happened to the by-laws?

Nads tells us he is targeting Feltis and Lowe.

Nigel is targeting Robinson and Lowe.

I am with Nads. Can't really understand what happened there, why they did not coordinate this but Feltis going would be real change.

I think you're right. Feltis has been pulling the strings there for a while now, even before he was chairman. That's how he got Walsh to "stand down" by campaigning and getting him the votes at the NSWRL so Feltis could then assume the chair unopposed. That's been kept on the quiet for some time now, but I'm sick of it.

DOesnt matter where he is on the ballot as long as you tick him and eight others.Just make sure that Nads is one of the other eight.

my point was a lot of people will vote from top to bottom .Holding the bottom position on the ballet can and does cost votes. Most people voting will be lucky if they can name 3 people on the board and will vote those 3 then fill in the blanks from top to bottom

Another thing noted while there

You can sign up for membership today and pay full voting rights. But you can not actually vote untill your membership is granted by the board. Now the board is slated to meet this wednesday there by clearing all new members.
But if they where not to meet .I wonder how many would be affected. There would be about 2 months of members to be cleared .Most new members may be voting nadim and nigel

Nadim has a red hot chance but I don't think Nigel has a hope

The board needs business acumen, not a baker.

It's a shame there weren't more candidates as change is needed.

I thought a serious rebel ticket was coming after what Lew had to say earlier in the year.

why does being a baker make you any less of a leader .

Come on OX, it isnt Nigels fault you are gluten intolerant:crazy:

Someone with some business acumen would be great, but fresh faces with new ideas will be a good start.

Could be but the rule has been in place since long before this election I think.

It doesn't. Definitely no less a leader than some of the fossils on there now. That's why I reckon it should be Nads n Nige for the Nine.

But truth be known I'd be more comfortable having Nigel knead the dough than count it. He can be chairman of the kitchen sub-committee.

Perhaps Nigel can't double-cross Feltis after being invited to the Chairmans Lounge by Feltis for nominating Norm Southern for life membership?
