like Jodeci, i'm a little dissapointed with the effort by the club although I was happy with the scarfe and keyring (that's a mean piece of bling) I was so so about everything else..

That about sums it up for me. As I said earlier...The cap will be worn on game days only, the scarf will be wearable once the tassels are removed and the key ring is as flash as Michael Jackson.

Just received my pack in the mail.

I havent been a member of the club since moving to the Gold Coast 4yrs ago (after 8 yrs as a season ticket holder. I thought i'd join Blue Blood this year so i am at least tied to the club again in someway. After opening the pack today, i'll give it a miss next year and the years after.

Could you imagine a rabbitohs pack coming with a fluro green hat? or a Broncos hat coming in purple instead of maroon??

How the f**k could the approve sending out caps to all members that isnt even a close match to our teams yellow? Its farcical and shows the club only cares about the $$$. Ive got better quality caps in the Triple M bag at the Easter Show and thats saying something!

That pack is worth $15 TOPS, and even then is pushing it. The club has really let down its fans IMO, and those who live interstate so dont need a ticketed membership will simply not be members in the future if we pay so much for that rubbish

Received my 2 tickets today, along with 2 vouchers for laser skirmish  , 2 free games of bowling at AMF (not bad) and a letter saying the pack will be sent out within the next 21 days. After reading about the quality, or lack of quality merchandise, I'm not in a hurry to receive the packs. The lanyard for the season tickets maybe, but nothing else.

Me too.

The club doesn't take any notice of the other code - the AFL members get a lot of stuff for their dough. Our pack last year was not that great and this one sounds worse.

Not really sure why everyone is complaining... I joined my daughter up to the Sparky Eels group last year and we got nothing... I rang them and they were going to look into it and call me back. We signed her up again this year but still haven't gotten anything. Lets hope we get something for our $75 (I think it was $75 or was it $70?)

Have people been getting their season tickets? I thought i read that they were being sent before X-mas...

What a schmozzle!

I can't understand why they can't even get the colours right on the cap. Seriously who checks the merchandise for quality before ordering? A blind man.

So a question for Jodeci.

I know you have been a member / Season Ticket Holder a long time.

What would you rate more highly, or Merchandise for the 2009 season provided with our STH or B&G army membership or the stuff that is being put out now?

As to the AFL stuff. Guys, I am a member at Hawthorn. I renewed in November. Got a E-mail from TOLL express last month that my membership pack had been sent, and received it the next day. Again this is only a preliminary pack, it doesn't include my membership card for this year yet. But I got my Scarf (with my member 2 years) badge, and some stickers, some other stuff and a DVD, that had a message from the club Chairman, thanking those that renewed early (we are the ones getting the DVD) as well as highlights of the entire 2010 season plus the 3-2-1 points for the Peter Crimmins Medal for each game.
The AFL clubs, via Ticketmaster and their printing partner do it so much better than we do at the moment.

Last year was much better MITS. Beer coasters, stickers, etc.

They are trying to get this Ambassador Club thing up and running and personally I couldn't give a rats about it. (My opinion)

People value key rings, merchandise, hats, etc more then a voucher book.

The funny thing about this is that the membership team actually subscribe to every other team to see what their members get and they do a brain storm session to do a complete run down but this seems to have failed.

I'm a Interstate Member for the Perth Wildcats and they have the book also but that's pointless for me as I dont live in WA to take up any of the vouchers offered.

But I'm a Season Ticketed Member of the Dragons and the Red V offer blows us away in regards to merchandise/marketing and packages.

For the $70 we spent, we should of got a 2009 Highlights DVD, the exculsive Members scarf they sold in the caravan outside the stadium earlier this year plus your normal stickers, key ring, better looking cap, your member number scarf/hat, a back pack, etc.

But how do you please everyone?

Some members dont want a cap cause they have 10 from previous years and enough keys rings and stckers, etc.

You cant make everyone happy...

Both Dragons and Bulldogs, if you renew before a certain date, they throw a christmas get together with the players for free...

they talk up this ambassadors club thing, but honestly it looks like rubbish to me - companies only particiapate in those things cos its a con to get you to go to their business for some paltry discount and they can get more money off you from other stuff

I could be at those outlets that our in our book and I wouldn't have a clue.

Do they expect me to carry the book around with me?

The companies who have decided to join the Club should be able to promote on our web site.

If Crowne Plaza are part of the Ambassador Club, they should be allowed to promote on the parraeels web site and offer Club members an exculsive offer perhaps.
