i expect manly to climb up the ladder. they have a better 1/2 back prospect than hodkinson coming into squad.

also, they should have a fully fit stewart and watmough (arguably there two best players).

plus have some fantastic kids coming on like hoppa.

If Bennett and Boyd stick around, we'll be up there. If they go, we'll definitely slip down a bit, after already losing Smith, Costigan, and Saffy.

At this early stage

1. Dragons
2. Sea Eagles
3. Tigers
4. Warriors
5. Roosters
6. Storm
7. Broncos
8. Panthers

9. Raiders
10. Titans
11. Bulldogs
12. Rabbitohs
13. Sharks
14. Knights
15. Eels
16. Cowboys

So difficult. Raiders, Titans, Bulldogs, Bunnies and Eels are all finals chances but you can only fit in 8. If the Cowboys come out of the off season better for it they will also be close to the 8.

Raiders with the injury to Campese will make things tough, Titans to fall back to the field, Bulldogs to be better in 2011 but don't think they will be contenders, Bunnies with Burgess could do anything. Panthers to drop back to the pack, Elliott will continue to pick his favourites.

Sharks will improve, Knights are a season away from making a surge for the 8 with some young stars arriving at the club and the Eels and Cowboys under pressure in general. Problems in the front office equate to problems on the field in a lot of cases.

Ever since 07 we have been tipped by the majority to miss the 8, yet we still keep scraping in. Apart from a lack of forward depth, we are looking pretty good for next season. Can see Manly finishing around 5/6th.

I don't know why Dragons fans are worried. Hunt will be back, new blood will come through like Stanley and Smith has missed many games the last two years - someone else will step up in his place as well as Costigan's spot.

1. Wests Tigers - Really did a lot of grinding this year and toughened up a lot.
2. Brisbane Broncos - Assuming Lockyer and Hodges stay fit.
3. St George Illawarra Dragons - Dan Hunt will overcome some of the loss of Saffy, Costigan and Smith but they will slide.
4. New Zealand Warriors - A powerhouse who will be stinging at their early exit.
5. Sydney Roosters - Dream run this year. There is a lot of promise in this team.

6. Gold Coast Titans - What went wrong? Good grinding team that will jag wins but miss the points that Rogers created.
7. South Sydney Rabbitohs - Too much talent not to threaten the 8. May ultimately be sunk by inconsistent halves.
8. Canterbury Bulldogs - Ben Barba was a revelation but question marks remain over Dally M winning coach Kevin Moore.
9. Penrith Panthers - Were found wanting in finals but still a dangerous team. Need to buck up in defence as does everybody.
10. Manly Sea Eagles - Have a real issue with fading in games that started with the loss to the tiges and unusually remained all season.
11. Melbourne Storm - Rebuilding year but with a solid core it's hard to believe Bellamy won't develop some new forwards and superstars like Stanley will be keen to shine.
12. Canberra Raiders - Bottom of the pack of contenders due to long term injury to Campese. By the time he comes back the season may already be gone for Canberra.

These last 4 just seem too far off the pace. There was some form from Cronulla and Newcastle but nothing to suggest long term improvement.
Parra seem to be in crisis and Kearney is an unknown quantity. Cowboys are just a bad team with a mercurial halfback. I tip Neil Henry will be sacked.
13. Cronulla Sharks
14. Newcastle Knights
15. Parramatta Eels
16. North Queensland Cowboys

roosters will be sh*t next year..
FFS The Sharks beat them twice this year.

1)Bronco's ...any team with Inglis, Lockyer and Thiaday in it will be virtually unstoppable.

2) Storm ...they probably would have won this year ...even without Inglis they are awesome

3) Kiwi's ...only a matter of time before these big fuggers start annihilating everyone.

4) Souths....bad luck with injuries ...otherwise lookout.

5) Penrith ...too many good young players to not be a challenger

6) Canberra...see above

7) Dragons...have peaked ...pressure is off ...too hard to get back up again.

8) Dogs...smokey ...could even win the bloody thing .

9) Tigers...Benji due for another long term injury

10) Sharks ...building ...dunno what they are building ...but I have a vision.

11) KNights....nah sh*t.

12) Titans ...wheels to fall off.

13) Eels...things are looking shakey.

14) Roosters...Carney to hit the piss hard.

15) Cows...more of the same

16) Eagles.
