Strong growth in memberships
NRL
Fri, Mar 25, 2011
As we head into round three of the Telstra Premiership, memberships across the game continue to soar, with the code’s cumulative total now just shy of 170,000.
Heading the massive membership totals in the game are Sydney clubs, the Rabbitohs (19,845) and Dragons (19,055) who both are on the verge of breaking the 20,000 membership total, a major milestone for the game.
Next in line, the Broncos, Bulldogs and Eels continue to sell, which sees five of the 16 Premiership clubs now with over 10,000 members.
The record membership numbers are already having an impact on crowd numbers for season 2011, with the game breaking the 200,000 attendance barrier for the first time in one round, and with crowds already for 2011 up over 10% on last year.
:? You're having one game at the SCG - Parra and NQ will both be ready at Kogarah.
considering their junior base the Panthers should be getting more. Perhaps the NRL should work with them to help boost the numbers?
Great evidence you have there.
