Parra lost 32-24 to Souths Logan don't know too much information about this game.

Balmain won their game 38-18 I heard with a few key players out aswell against the Townsville stingers.
Am hearing this is the most talented junior team in years

I watched the Parramatta game and they were very disappointing, the Souths Logan side were pretty big and Parra struggled defensively. They were all tackling high and the Souths forwards really found it easy to make ground. Parra rallied late in the 2nd half and looked good once they started spreading the balll but just ran out of time.

Balmain SG Ball had 8 of their starting side out and were looking at having to call up a couple of Harold Matts players to field 17. 2 of the boys passed fitness tests late in the week to make up the 17. Missing through injury or suspension were Prop Leki Taumalolo, Hooker Mania Cherrington, 2nd Rower Daniel Rakvin, Halfback Mark Daoud, Halfback Luke Brooks, 5/8 Mitchell Moses, Centre Leva Li and Winger Paul Simona.

Halfback Alex Zarounis starred scoring 3 tries and setting up another, regular Fullback Mason Farrell filled in at 5/8 and scored 1 try and threw a long cut out pass for another aswell as kicking 5 goals from 6 attempts. Fosio Totola was easily the best forward on the field, he was outstanding in defence and made plenty of metres. IMO it was probably the best defensive effort of the season for the Balmain boys with some silly errors gifting the Townsville boys a couple of their tries.

Melbourne Storm hopeful to enter the Harold Matthews Cup for 2013. This would solve the bye.
