2012 member packs

I recall the line " Nothing is too good for our members, thus nothing is what you shall recieve" being suggested as a mantra for the membership and merchandise dept of our fair club by an esteemed gentleman earlier this year.
Still more than appropriate.

We picked up our 2 packs last weekend and one of them had the small cap, looks like a child's size.

But the other one had a full size one.

Someone has stuffed up along the line with the cap sizes.

Are you suggesting that QA procedures were not followed correctly ?

I might just do that.
The club's facebook effort mirrors other parts of the membership/merchandising process.
For example ... just a week or two ago the minion responsible for monitoring the FB stream was caught out a little.
The club made some statement about the 2012 packs being ready for pickup and that they would be mailed to interstate members.
I asked if this extended to ticketed members who live interstate or just "interstate members" as in past years (not that it is a big deal to pick the pack up at a game). The grand statement was then edited to "interstate non ticketed" members (although I do not know why non ticketed members get theirs sent out and ticketed mebers do not although it is not a big deal).
There was also an addition to the grand statement that the packs would be available at all trial games and the first few home games (although nobody knows which venue they shall be at).
I replied to this one to check that the packs would be available at the trial in Perth (although it should have been a redundant question based on the earlier grand statement).
I could have been knocked over with a feather when the grand statement was edited again to say that the packs would be available at the trial against the trainwreckers and at 50uff$ Grand Final.
I guess the problem is that I will follow the team as I long as I live but I tend to get the shits with the ongoing general incompetence and amateurism which tend to be hallmarks of our membership and merchandising systems.

I'm the one who monitors our facebook page so that was totally my mistake! definitely having one of those days at work where I mis-typed the info, so you can blame me for that :)

for ALL membership enquiries you don't need to email hothothot, that's a catch-all email for people who aren't sure who they should be speaking to!

for memberships go straight to Red V as they're the ones who have all your info and can be the most helpful! they're on redv@dragons.com.au, on Twitter at @RedVTeam and their phone numbers are on the memberships contact page too.

sorry to butt into your thread but sucks to see Red V being lumped in with my typos and confusions. would always appreciate it if you hit me with any social media feedback though.

No problem, thanks for the heads up.
Thanks also for (to use a "Doustism") taking ownership.
As you may have picked up from my words (and those of others on this forum and on Jubilee Ave), there is a general lack of confidence and satisfaction with many aspects of the non football efforts of our great club.

How long have you been in that gig if I may ask ?

I've been a member 11 years now why don't a loalty system noted and the cap or badge or shirt stating the number of years you have been a member eg 5yrs-10yrs-15years and so now i think it would be a great incentive for member to keep thier memberships current

Took our small cap back today and swapped it for a larger one. The girl there tried to tell my wife that the caps were a small size this year.

no answer from the House of Doust, Juan? Sassy's twitter says she and her confrere are off blogging for cricket australia, so maybe an answer around the time of the Charity Shield?

nope.
Is there some sort of conflict if our club's SMP's bestie and colleague is SMP for the Homebush phonies ?
I am a little surprised that we have not been told the hat sizing saga is due to our big heads.

At our first home game everyone should throw their cap onto the field in protest !!!

cheers SFTG

I'm in... Haven't seen one yet but my mate just messaged me from back home for the soul reason of having a rant about the crap hat not to mention the rest of the package.

I haven't signed up yet as I need to wait to sort out the WIN situation and my long term plans for 2012. Needless to say, I wont be becoming a "community member," as I did this year if I'm not gunna be around

The packs have always been shit. But most people join because they want to support the club....

Just on the subject of member's packs I am still waiting to receive my member pack for 2011!! Ran out of stock when I signed up, promised it would be sent later in the season, never seen it. Still, I do love the Red V and will be signing up again for 2012....

Well, i thought it was just me, but i thought the pack was crap! I picked it up at Charity Shield and 2 days later emailed DRAGONS. Still NO REPLY! Membership is critical to all sporting teams, and it's not cheap!

I'd suggest everyone not HAPPY, email or ring DRAGONS to let them know? No point spitting the dummy on this forum, if they don't know we'll get that same key-ring and dumb lanyard in 2013!

BTW- that cap is by far the worst and looks like a cheap truckers cap, and guess what it's not even RED!

not happy jan. the hat is a disgrace. looks like rubbish and won't fit my head. made for a kid would be my guess. the time has come for changes to be made to the person that is responsible for the crap we sometimes get.

Sounds like the curse of the shetland people - being in charge ....

I've got a female doctor. She's a petite woman.

When I had my one and only proctological exam - to determine the engorgement of my prostate, she gave up and said "I was too big for her".

Not the first time I've heard this but usually I was facing the other way.
