Panthers, are you ready, ready?

That's the theme for 2012. It's a chant that has been used for a few years and now has obviously been adopted as a call of arms to supporters.

And yes, I am. Will be renewing very soon.

Heres a question i have just thought of in my post work nightly boredom. Do the clubs ever seek some voluntary time from paid up members to attract new members? I mean stuff like handing out flyers, putting up posters, manning stalls etc... on a saturday at the main shopping centres? Could be a cheap way to pump some more man hours into membership campaigns short of invading victoria and bringing up some slave labour.

Souths have the "Rabbit Hunter". Recruit 4 or more ticketed members and you're invited to a touch footy & BBQ day with the players and coach at Redfern.

Penrith have the "Panther Pride" which do a whole range of voluntary things, including helping out at the members day before the start of each season. I think I have thrown my hat in the ring at some time in the past and therefore on call to help out (if I can).

There is also incentives if you recruit new members, whereby you get certain prizes - if you recuit one, you get a discount voucher at PantherShop, and it slides up the more members you get, I think culminating at 4 or more where you get included in a team poster photo shoot.

As lovely as these comparisons might be Perth Red, I don't really think you can equitably compare any of the membership structures. Too many clubs have different inclusions for the prices shown and many clubs don't play the same amount of home games.

Roosters GA still under $100 for the whole season - exceptional value and we get a white baseball cap next season as well :D

I'll be buying mine again

Got an email late last week saying the opening day of memberships was our best ever. So hopefully we can match or beat last years numbers.

True and I admit not very scientific in placings but at the end of the day it is what fans are expected to pay out if they want to become a full ticketed member. I'd suggest the majority of fans see the additional stuff as just filler and really it is the game tickets and sense of being a member that they are most interested in. In that sense if I want best seats at Titans or at Panthers you can compare what I will have to pay to get them.

Souths up to 8,087 members for 2012. Existing ticketed members have to renew by 5th December to retain their seats, so we'll probably see a gradual build until then.
