Knights ticked over the 13,000 members overnight

What were the projections again?

20k might not be unrealistic. You would expect it to hit 15k before the start of the season...with a strong start that could go get to 18, 19, possibly 20k. Maybe thats being overly optimistic, but theres a decent chance.

Last week the Knights said they were on 14,000 members. A new membership ad featuring Bennett, Boyd, Gidley, Snowden, Buderus and Mullen is getting released this week in an attempt to really get these last 6,000 members signed on. If they can be sitting around 15/16k by season's kickoff and they beat (most of) the tough teams theyre faced with early on I think the 20,000 is highly likely to be achieved by them by April.

Saw an ad in the paper today for the various battles - beaches, west, 1-city teams, top 4. Hopefully that will provide a good boost.

Was there a QLD one??

Cowboys next week are going to run a membership drive out at Lavarack Barracks and at the Uni, hopefully they get a few members from that. A guy at my work, his missus runs the memberships this year and they are apparently very happy with the numbers thus far, hopefully we get up to the 10k by season kick off and build on it a few k every year thereafter. With the trials games on in Redcliffe and Mackay and even Perth, you would think they could grab a few from that as well.

I think Broncos was in the top 4 one, along with Knights, Bunnies and Dragons.

1-city teams included Cowboys, Raiders, Storm and Warriors.

Beach was Manly, Sharks, Titans and Easts.

West was Tigers, Eels, Panthers, Bulldogs.

So there was not one specifically grouping the QLD teams. They just fell into different groups...

Not sure we'll reach our goal, a good showing in the Charity Shield and first couple of rounds might help... the early start to the season might affect memberships all round.

Cronulla have just posted the Battle of the Beaches on their site:

Manly - Cronulla - Roosters - Titans.

If they're fair dinkum, GC *should* win that one but who knows.

The others are

Bulldogs Tigers Panthers Eels (Sydney's West) - Dogs would be favourites

Cowboys Raiders Storm & Warriors (outposts) - I'd be backing Storm there

Broncos Knights Dragons Souths (Big guns) - Souths or Dragons realistically.

Is the winner of the various battles based on total membership sales or just those sold during a given window in time? And is it for all memberships or just ticketed memberships?

probably

Sharks did well last year thanks to agressive campaigning on facebook.

member numbers of all memberships.

revenue wise...would be hard to quantify that. take the sharks. theyve sold less memberships than last year so far however have surpassed total membership revenue for last year.

must have sold a few of them platinum meberships with the team photo option.

It's only come out on a couple of club websites and in the paper today.

It'll get on all club websites by end of today, start tomorrow.

Surely the NRL would be smart enough to have asked Channel 9 to plug the hell out of it tomorrow night during the All Stars game also.
