Southampton play good football, not one of the big 5, great youth academy and looking to change from being a "selling club" to actually hanging onto some of this talent. Plus if you choose Southampton you can go back and watch highlights of Matt Le Tissier, some of the classiest goals you'll ever see. Easily my favourite striker in the EPL growing up.

so nothing to do with Manyoo being crap ?

nice story anyway

Nah.

Some posters on this site pretend to know what they are talking about but really just repeat what others say but don't really understand it, pretend to be in the know, and think saying Manyoo is dead good. ;-)

Meh, there are 6 year olds around my way i can talk to if i want that. :)

True story. Glad you like them.

Cities new manager should be under the same scrutiny Moyes is, no away form at all.

Chelsea and Spurs are going as well as expected. Only Boxy thinks Spurs signing are good enough and Jose going back was never going to be the same as last time he was there.

:lol::lol::lol:

Any word on how Suarez is recovering after being hit by that sniper last night?
Probably the same as literally every other forward in the premier league who goes down under contact, as Suarez did.

Anyway, that weekend turned out less disastrous than it could've been, still fourth with an almighty match next Wednesday

WireMan being wrong again is nothing new. Everyone here should be used to it by now :)

Without posting a long boring novel like usual...

Which bit of what was quoted was wrong?

If city had any away form they would already be champions.
Spurs are doing about as well as expected.
I know you have not followed football long enough to remember José the first time round, but the fact Chelsea fans are celebrating being third, and not even Wenger can be bothered arguing with him I'd say it was nothing like last time round.

Drunk fan calls police, asks for Sir Alex

January 23, 2014
By ESPN staff

An inebriated Manchester United supporter phoned the emergency services and demanded to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson after the club’s Capital One Cup exit, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has revealed.

United crashed out of the competition after losing a penalty shootout to Sunderland at Old Trafford on Wednesday, with a number of fans opting to drown their sorrows after the latest in a string of disappointing results for manager David Moyes.

The Red Devils’ failure to book a Wembley final against rivals Manchester City led one supporter to try to reach out to United’s former boss Ferguson, who retired in 2013 after 26-and-a-half trophy laden years at the club.

However, his call to 999 was in vain, with Greater Manchester Police taking to Facebook on Thursday to urge people not to repeat the frivolous use of the emergency number, though recognising that football defeats could be “depressing”.

The GMP statement said: "Last night, at approximately 10.30pm a man from the Crumpsall area of north Manchester rang 999 in a drunken state demanding to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson about last night's result.

"Obviously, it can be a sad and depressing moment when your football team loses a game, however can we all please remember that 999 is to be used for emergencies only. For any other police related enquiries that are not an emergency, you can ring 101.

"If you would like to speak to Sir Alex about recent football results we here at GMP Manchester North can only suggest you try ringing Manchester United directly as you will probably (not definitely) have a much better chance of getting through to him there rather than ringing the police."

Elsewhere, GMP’s Chorlton branch engaged in some friendly social media banter after the result, posting a sly dig at Phil Jones -- one of four United players to miss a penalty against Sunderland -- on Twitter.

Classic panic buy from United. Firstly, Mata is good but not 40 million pounds good. Secondly, his best position is Rooney's position. Thirdly, United have multiple needs, Mata doesn't fill any of them. Panic, panic, panic.

They need multiple defenders to fill the holes that Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra are creating with their decline. They need a DM that can smoothly transition them from defense to attack.

They needed a Vidal. Not a Mata.
