Please dont predict us for titles. That's ridiculous

I'm very happy with our start but please, it's three games in.

Boy that United side played trash last night though. Giggs, Cleverley were rubbish, Carrick barely sighted, Jones crap till he got injured, Young also quite poor.

We werent that much better but a win is a win.

Arsenal Football Club has returned from its 8 year period of austerity and investment. We are back as a massive force in English and European football. We just signed one of the best midfielders in the world. We proved we have the finances to be considered one of the 6 biggest clubs in the world.

This summer has marked a new era. Our midfield is second to none in England. From now on we are genuine title contenders, starting with this season.

You signed one midfielder who is untested in the EPL.
A good signing yes but settle down you idiot, he hasn't even played a game yet and you're carrying on like you're sitting 12 points on top of the ladder.

I don't think we're 12 points ahead of the rest. I don't think we're even favourites. If I had to predict how I think the League will finish today I'd go

Chelsea
Arsenal

City
United
Tottenham
Liverpool

As much as anything proven managers like Mourinho and Wenger are the key when IMO there is less than ever between first and 6th.

Ozil is world class, but you'll still battle for top 4 - need a class striker to complement him.

He's got the highest assists in Europe over the past 3 years because he has one of the world's deadliest goal scorers in front of him, in a system that's designed to get him all the goals.
Giroud is solid, but he isn't going to start banging in 30 goals a season regardless of how good Ozil is.

We don't need a single 30 goal player. Giroud and Walcott could get 20 each infront of Ozil. Podolski could chip in with double figures also.

Our biggest problem last year was creating too few chances.

In this system Adebayor scored 30+ , Giroud will have 17 PL goals and 27 in all Comps.

You're still short of being realistic title challengers regardless. Every Big 6 squad has made decent improvements, barring probably United who can lay back on the fact they won the league in a canter last season.

I'd compare it to buying a Lambo and then gotten some P plater to drive it- the car is still one of the best and will still comfortably beat the majority of other cars, but you aren't going to get the very best out it compared to the others Lambo owners with professional drivers.

Nice Analogy, i dont think we will win, but i feel we will be alot closer than years gone by, if we finish within 10 points of the Champions ill be happy. We should push for one of the cups and look to Challenge next season.

And what happens if Giroud goes down? Your starting forward talent is already weaker than the others and your depth is probably amongst the lowest as well.

Walcott and Podolski aren't exactly models of consistency as well.

Ok first we all know BM is just a bit " Different" but in the end Ozil is a top 15 player in the world. Doesnt make them a force again, but prob enough too hold off Spurs.

One signing an the Goners fans think they can win the title. Beat Villa first - we did, and so did Chelsea.

You're right. We should've spent it on Chadli, Capoue, Soldado and Paulinho. Two of them did three quarters of f**k all on sunday and the other two got made to look like bitches by Aaron fckn Ramsey.

Anyone who thinks 45 for one of the best CAM's in the world is a bad deal is geniused. He's without a doubt the best signing by any british club this window.

I'm not saying we're title contenders or anything like that because no single signing was going to make us competitive. But if we can close the gap at the top and finish top 4 again this season who knows what Wenger will do this time next season. He's somehow managed to convince Ozil that we're ambitious so he's obviously got something in mind.

Pretty much agree with all of this.

Wenger knows we need a striker, which is why he spent all summer trying to get one. I wouldn't be surprised if he went for on in the Jan window.
