Everton got their 27.5 mill cos Fellaini gave up 4 mill out of his own pocket in unactivated bonuses which was part of the transfer deal. So Moyes could save face and stick to his limit of 23.5 (ie the release clause) and everton still got the value they'd slapped on Fellaini once the clause expired.

To think Moyes thought he'd get Fellaini and Baines for 28 mill once the clause expired was laughable though!

That's what Everton denied straight out, and re-iterated that Utd would be paying the reported amount. It's been report just about everywhere as 27.5m as well.

Just a few Utd fans trying to save face on what was a terribly handled window.

Sunderland were beaten 3-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly this weekend by their own u21 youth squad.

Logic dictates then the u21s become the senior squad and the senior squad become the reserves.

We're on top of the league.

Liverpool 2nd. We're back to the 80s.

But seriously we have quite a soft run. We are in a position to build a solid lead heading into Christmas.

What a cracker of a match last night, was probably the best PL match I've seen this season. Lots of free flowing football, and Uncle Fester Shelvey was involved in all 4 goals.

yeh I noticed Shelvy was star of the highlight reel

would have been a dull game without him

A win against the rugby players tonight will see Arsenal at the top of the table. Arteta returning this week, Cazorla in about 10 days. The fact that we've been able to consistently win games without a bench is extraordinary. We've had about 14 genuine first team players for most of the season. If the skeleton crew keep winning and our injured players return to form an actual bench we can go further than anyone expects this season.

Surely di Canio has to go... honestly one of the worst PL managers I've ever seen.

Needing to check the table to see who I'm going for out of United and City based on who is further below us on the table.

After the Villa game suggesting Arsenal would be in a position anywhere close to that would have sent you to an asylum.

For the record, here's hoping for an 0-0 draw because both scums are on equal points.

Meh,

Last we year won the league so easily it was boring.

So this year we are giving the other teams a chance to do well at the start.

We are good like that.
