Dumb red card. No way that was a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Better first half performance than last year though when the game was over after 20 mins.

Leave the Liverpool fans alone, they get bored when their team only plays once every blue moon.

Come back when you actually make the most of those extra mid-week champions league games, i.e actually winning the competition. Hope Arsenal are at least proud of their participation award trophies.

If Liverpool finally get their hands on that 'participation' trophy, it might be short lived.

So I hope you make the most of it next season

If we make the champions league we'll be able to sign the big names again.
I am confident enough that Liverpool will go further in the champions league next season that I'll sport an Arsenal logo in my signature the length of time that Arsenal survive longer.

Anyway that's enough about Liverpool, let's talk about the teams that are still in the competition..

I doubt you'll make it past the group stages. The years of not being part of the CL means your coefficient ranking has dropped, that means you might not even be in Pot 1 when they draw the groups, meaning you'll get a tough group.

Suppose i better talk about the game while i'm here.

I would have taken 0-2 before the game. Considering our start and the fact that mopey b***h Ozil missed a pen I'm a bit disappointed. Still, we didn't get humiliated and we were never going to win the tie so I'm not too distraught.

Losing Gibbs to another injury was by far the worst thing that happened. How Monreal even gets considered for the Spanish team is beyond me.
Arsenal fans complaining about Ozil are being ridiculous. He has a rookie striker. His only legit attacking option to pass to was AOC. A kid fresh off a long term injury.

If he had Ramsey and Walcott or if we bought the striker we should have Ozil would be producing a lot more.

And people always have a go at him for being "mopey" or "lazy" or uninterested or whatever else and yet he covered the 3rd most territory out of everyone in the game this morning.

Did you know that Villa and Forest have won a champions league and you haven't?

I'm sure Villa and NF fans wouldn't want to switch places with Arsenal

That's like saying to a Warriors or Cowboys fans, "Hey, do you know Newton Jets have won a premiership"

Btw, do you know that Blackburn have won the EPL?

No it's not. Cowboys and Warriors have been around a fraction of the time the Jets existed. It's also more importantly highlighting the embarrassment for Arsenal that they haven't won something highly prestigious which Villa and Forest (!) have already won. Nice attempt to deflect attention away from that embarrassment though.

Please. The EPL is a different name slapped on to essentially the same title that's existed for a long time. Otherwise Utd fans would boast about the number 13, not 20.

I meant you but I guess he can be included lol

What have I got to be bitter about?

I don't know if you know anything about teams in the Champions League because it's been so long since you've been in it but Bayern Munich is actually pretty decent. Losing 0-2 with 10 men is nothing to be bitter about.

Biggest load of shit I've ever heard. I can just imagine how calm and placid you were while Liverpool banged in goal after goal minute after minute in such an important match

Couldn't care less now you genius. All it is is 3 points dropped. You don't get extra points for scoring 5.

I can't imagine you're still cut up about losing to Southampton in September or whenever it was.

I know it's probably the highlight of the last 8 years for you losers but it's not actually something Arsenal fans lose sleep over. So while you and your clique of losers were touching yourselves over Squirtle's set piece prowess this morning we were watching our team play the European champions.

The below sounds pretty bitter to me:

 Liverpool and United fans laughing at Arsenal and City because they lost to the best two sides in the world.

United can't even beat Fulham or West Brom at home and for some reason they think it's funny that the two English teams lost by respectable score lines after going down a man against the two best teams of the last half decade.

Liverpool lost to our reserves 4-5 days ago so I can understand why they're bitter.

We got the same amount of points away to you guys as you got away to Hull.

In the end it's only 3 points and we both ended up getting 3 off each other. If you guys want to make a DVD out of it you're more than welcome.

The fact is the FA cup is the only trophy either team has/had a chance to win this season and you got knocked out by a team playing 7 reserves.

You guys spent days cutting yourselves over Howard Webb.

Couldn't care less now you genius. All it is is 3 points dropped. You don't get extra points for scoring 5.

Interesting thought I've just had. Next year there is a very real possibility there will be no Champions league at both Old Trafford and San Siro. First time in history that's the case?

Responding to plebs like you doesn't make me bitter about losing this morning

Do you even know what bitter means? F**k this place is a cesspit these days.

Isn't there a europa league thread you should be bumping in preparation for your massive European fixture tomorrow against Anzhi or Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk? Ah woops, you guys couldn't even manage to qualify for that.

Of course you couldn't care less now. It was over a week ago. Time heals everything. That being said, there's a big difference between losing 1-0 5 months ago and losing 5-1 just almost a fortnight ago.

At least we've been European champions ;-)

How old are you? 12? No need to get nasty.

Isn't there a european champions anonymous meeting you guys should be going to? Since your name has been anonymous on the trophy ever since it was crafted?

Bitter about 5-1 and bitter about yet another failed champions league campaign. Finishing 4th means nothing except money for Arsenal. Always has and always will.
