'Job done' sounds like,
'Yes! This is what we wanted! Advantage Chelsea!'

I am not responsible for your misinterpretations, intentional or otherwise

If you met your objective, then it's a pretty shit and negative objective if you ask me.

I didn't ask you

You have no evidence I'd criticise Chelsea for that, otherwise, please show me.
.

Predictions refer to things which haven't happened yet nick

Although you have recent form in this very thread of criticising Chelsea for playing defensively

No, I just think Chelsea's interpretation of 'job done' in this instance was absolutely ludicrous  Tell me, what did you really achieve from 0-0...

I have no problem with parking the bus if you claim an away goal. But with a team of players of that calibre, hardly even trying to score in the away leg...it's just inexcusable. And look what it got you. Nothing really...

I agree. If Mourinho wants to score at home then he will have to revert to an attacking lineup which leave the defence vulnerable. And lets not forget that Atletico are a really good defensive team as well so Chelsea will find it difficult to score. If Atletico manage to score even one goal then Chelsea are kinda f**ked then.

I can remember a few chances. They put in as good as they could away from home with the options available. If Torres plays in Willian instead of the back heel to rami it could have been a different story. A clean sheet away from home isn't nothing. Win at home we advance, like we have the previous rounds.

That's kind of stating the obvious. If they score then we'll need to score. They scored first at home against Barca then closed up shop.

The lengths you will go to defend Mourinho

"I can remember a few chances"....do you realise how much of a disgrace it would be if Chelsea made absolutely 0 chances? Of course they made a couple, but they had an opportunity go and create a lot more, and they didn't.

I have not heard a single football pundit congratulate Chelsea for what they did. I think nearly every one of them is just confused. Because all it has done is put the pressure on you guys to go out and score against a great defensive team, while leaving your own Terry-less defence more exposed to a deadly away goal.

I'm not going to lengths. I'm not even defending Jose. You said we hardly tried to score which is garbage, we tried to score with the chances presented. Opportunity to go and create more? So they weren't real chances just ones that may have been there?

As a neutral I can understand why you weren't impressed. As a chelsea supporter I was happy with 0-0, would I have liked to grab a goal, sure. If we'd have gone in played expansive football and lost by 4 goals then what? We weren't playing Norwich, Spurs or Arsenal.

Are we in a better position than Bayern Munich?

Yes, but what do they have to do with this? I'm not saying your position is disastrous. I'm saying that it's not really 'job done' in the logical sense, not according to what some Chelsea fans had hoped for the team to achieve.

Did I say job done?

It's half time. Nobody can say "Job done". Real Madrid can't say job done their win will mean nothing if they lose 2-0 next week. If offered 0-0 pre game I'd have taken it, guess I'm not one of those "some chelsea fans"

 Well your best mate Jimbo said job done  This whole debate was initially between Jimbo and I over whether the result of that first leg is 'job done' or not. Not job done for the whole tie, the job they set out to do in Madrid. You jumped in and indicated you're happy with a 0-0 draw as well.

Again, what has this got to do with Real Madrid? Pardon me if I'm mistaken but I never said it's job done for RM.

I was happy with 0-0. Bayern played an expansive game and lost away from home. I'd rather be in our position. I believe It's a fair comparison to make.

Dude, of course you'd rather be in your position. The whole crux of my argument though is that it does not really give you any type of advantage, apart from the fact you are at home, but that's it.

That's not an advantage that should be dismissed is my argument.

Well okay, at least I agree that Bayern are in a tricky position. Sounds like you're trying to deflect the attention away from Chelsea though- oh the irony

A far better position than we brought back from Paris, for starters

Now you're being a smart arse.

No, you're being a dumbarse

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion Santa

And I am absolutely entitled to disagree with it

Four corners, five shots on goal, three on target

And as Haff points out, we were very close indeed to that precious away goal you speak of

Yes, we played defensively and relied largely on our counter-attack. Which is what we've done all season

It's also worth remembering that we lost our goalkeeper in the 18th minute, and our captain in the 72nd. Hardly circumstances where a team would be expected to charge forward, all guns blazing...

This has nothing to do with Paris. You're acting like I think it's impossible for Chelsea here on in.

No, you're being a dumbarse

No, you were being an arrogant smartarse. The evidence is clearly there. You're just saying that because you had nothing else to say. But please, tell that to almost every other pundit who agrees with me.

You weren't trying to disagree with it. You were saying you didn't want to hear it- "I didn't ask you". Really contradicts what you say about my entitlement for an opinion, doesn't it now

I don't really give a shit about how close you went to scoring an away goal. What I'm arguing is that despite everything that happened in the game, at the end of the day, 0-0 is nothing to get remotely excited about.

Our ptimary objective in Madrid was to get a clean sheet. An away goal would have been a bonus, but that became less realistic after we lost Cech

We got a clean sheet, despite the aforementioned difficulties we experienced during the game. Hence, 'job done'

I couldn't give a stuff what the pundits think

Mourinho knows a lot more about winning Champions League ties than they do

You weren't trying to disagree with it. You were saying you didn't want to hear it- "I didn't ask you". Really contradicts what you say about my entitlement for an opinion, doesn't it now

I'm also entitled to ignore your opinion

You suggested that we didn't try to score. I provided evidence to the contrary

And as far as excitement is concerned, I'm much happier after Madrid than I was after Paris
