is it just me or has brisbane got their sums wrong? 2013 will be the 26th year of the broncos. They joined in 88, 13 will be 26th season? Or are they just not counting their first season? They should have had their 25th badge last year! Newcastle did that for 2012 didn't they?

2013 - 1988 = 25

it's a 25th anniversary year... when you get married you don't celebrate your 2nd anniversary 12 months after the wedding day...

newcastle celebrated 25 season, brisbane the 25th anniversary...

surely it isn't that hard a concept to grasp... neither was wrong... it was all just when and what they chose to celebrate...

Just a bit funny since the Broncos celebrated their 20th season in 2007.

The ends of the top V don't match on the laft and the right and the coat of arms is on a grey background. This seems like a pretty amateurish mock-up to me.

In a different note, I was in a supporters store today looking for a birthday present for a Bulldogs fan and the guy working there mentioned that the black Bulldogs away jersey has been out-selling the white home jersey about 5 to 1.

I dare say it reminds plenty of fans of the Star Wars jersey, which many fans were upset was never for public sale.

If they entered in 1988 then 2012 was their 25th year

88,89,90,91,92 = 5
93,94,95,96,97 = 5
98,99,00,01,02 = 5
03,04,05,06,07 = 5
08,09,10,11,12 = 5

Yes, but Brisbane is celebrating its 25th anniversary, not their 25th season.

Dragons jerseys haven't changed design forever and a day, and are always among top sellers. The notion that new jersey designs are the only reason people buy year-on-year is a furphy.

IMO It just shows who the soulless, money hungry clubs are.

Some clubs, I assume, listen to marketing men way too much. Others at least stick with a modern design rather than chop + change. I never was a big fan of the modern Canterbury jumper, but they made an identity by sticking with it since Super League. Now they have reverted back to their classic jersey and for the better.

Basically, if a club wants a modern design get behind it rather than wait 3 years to change it.

This. A million times THIS.

Current Warriors management have a perverse way of screwing with the very identity of the club, to a point where they've seemingly changed the club's colours to reflect the colours of their major sponsor.

Mind you, thinking back to the 1995 DB Bitter jersey.. it seems it's hardly a new thing *sigh*..

I've no idea as to what the difference is? Can you explain?

The 25th season is the 25th competition the team has competed in. The 25th anniversary is the 25 years since the team started playing. So for a team that started in 1988, like the Broncos and the knights, the 25th season was 2012. The 25th Anniversary is 2013, It is 25 years since their 1st season.

This also occured when the Roosters celebrated their 100th season in 2007 and the game celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2008.
