I'm not a fan of that training jersey, but a lot of these jerseys look different (and better) when actually made and being worn by someone, not a dodgy graphic.

IMO the new Broncos jersey is a case in point.

Nothing can make that roos training jersey look any better

Ahh - but clubs can keep the same basic "classic" design for the home/primary jersey, yet making a subtle change to keep diehard fans buying the new season jersey.

Changing the collar, trim, or sponsors can be done without radically moving away from a club's traditional jersey.. preserving the identity of the club. Football clubs in the England have done it for a long time.

agreed, but i wonder (have no stats) whether slightly upgraded jerseys will sell as much as totally new ones. I'd like clubs to keep some sort of identity but a lot just dont seem to care. I also think it's the oldest clubs who seem to be more interested in keeping tradition

Dragons jerseys haven't changed design forever and a day, and are always among top sellers. The notion that new jersey designs are the only reason people buy year-on-year is a furphy.

some clubs have a brand (dragons and rabbitohs) and probably sell a lot of jersey's to new fans regardless. I doubt too many dragons fans would be regularly buying the main jersey since it looks almost exactly the same each time. you yourself said you're interested in getting all 3 of canterburys new ones, you probably wouldn't be if they looked almost identical to last year

so lets say a club doesn't need to update every 1/2/3 years, then why do they do it?

I hadn't seen this posted so thought i'd post it.

Wouldn't think so? WC is being run by the RFL/they have their own logo, and Parra has X-Blades as a manufacturer from what I can see.

The ARL have also got 'NRL Nines' and 'NRL Tag' so maybe this is just a tag for the 13's 'version' of the game? Doesn't make much sense to me either tbh, I'm just grasping here.
Parra went to Blades for this season - they were done by Burley Sekem in 2012 which from memory had something to do with this RL13 thing.
Holy sh*tballs!
FFS it's a training jersey.

The way some people are carrying on is ridiculous - it'll barely see the light of day.

Can I not post an appropriate reaction to the RL equivalent of a Tapout shirt? I didn't complain about it, just gave a human reaction to something that is cluttered and unconventional. It doesn't bother me as much as the actual playing gear because it IS just for training, however, its simply and ugly design.

To put it simply, you calling me out over not liking something poorly designed would be like someone calling you out for stating that a poster breached forum guidelines (regardless of how minor).

Yes it's only a training jersey, will it be seen, not really, but that thing is ugly. I think this is an appropriate place to discuss what this training jersey looks like. I really don't think anyone has gone over the top or are "carrying on" in regards to the design, just a couple of people saying it is ugly.

Those renders from the Goodscore website look pretty shoddy to me. I think you will find the finished product on all the range displayed will end up being a more classy product.

The question mark though remains the sponsorship integration on the Australian jersey. If this is done poorly then the jersey will be ruined no matter how nicely Canterbury can construct it.

Personally I don't think the socks are a great start. One could get used to them but we are just seeing an unnecessary change being made. It does seem though that hooped socks are now horribly out of fashion amongst manufacturers, which demonstrates how out of touch I am as I quite like the militaristic nature of them.

A change I do expect to see on the Australian jersey is a new numbering font. Again I hope this doesn't happen but Canterbury will probably look to make their stylistic stamp with this element.

Its a shame to see the hooped socks go, they're as striking a design that can be achieved on a sock without looking stupid. Manufacturers seem to be going nuts with socks, as they have with everything else, purely because they can (with the current technology), though not because they should. This new uniform looks to be far more green-dominant than the last just looking at the jersey and socks.

Yes indeedy, I hated last years QLD Origin mock-up with a passion but when I won a jersey and got it in person it looked really good.

See I don't like what Canterbury have done to the playing strip but would probably buy a training jersey...

If the oz jersey changes ( the patheticER v) i won't be happy.

Just wondering though did jersey changes have as much response when the kiwis change/d?They've had a checkered V, narrow Vs, fat Vs, thin Vs, good Vs, bad Vs, and shallow Vs...

The difference is that the Kiwi's change it that often that it seems "normal" when they do it. They lost the tradition of their jersey ages ago!

Is there a copywrite on the all blacks design?

I know this will be unpopular but I would love to see the Kiwis essentially copy it!

One of my favourite ever Warriors jerseys basically did
