It just doesn't look like a jersey. Maybe the diagonal yoke was a means of allowing the NRMA logo to creep up higher.

This.

As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, it wouldn't be too bad as a training jersey, but it just doesn't look like a "proper" jersey.

Lets just be thankful Nike only does one of the teams in the NRL. Their track record isnt great. I dont think many found the Super League jerseys to be all that well thought out.

Bulldogs jerseys were ok, especially the last one.

Broncos have progressively gotten worse jerseys over the decade though. US/Euro manufacturers should probably be kept out of League, they dont know or understand the history of the sport, nor care probably, so they just throw something together that looks good in other sports, and expect no one to notice..

Would like to see what ISC or KooGa could do for the Broncos.. But theyre never likely to throw as much as cash as Nike does..

Aren't the dragons manufactured by Adidas, its looked good as long as i have known the sport. (approx 5 years)

Seen the jerseys with the new badge today at rebel. Some where a bit off looking but it might take getting used to. Aside from that there isnt much wrong with the current crop of jerseys

I like the Broncos Jerseys, simple, clean, no side panels, no different colour stiching, integrated sponsors.

Seems people are a bit allergic to something new, I think people will come around .

It's far better than any of koogas original designs. Have a look at the new storm Jersey, absolute dogs breakfast. Way too busy

The Broncos jersey is one of the best in the NRL from what I can see

the problem in all sports never seems to be whether a kit is well designed or not, but whether it fits the paradigm of what a proper League(or replace with any other sport) jersey ought to look like

The Hull jersey is a f**king abomination. The Broncos jersey takes a monumental shit on it. But Hull looks more like what we think a League jersey ought to be and the Broncos doesn't, so that's received a bit more favourably.

Too many designers who put too much currency on being original. Just stick to old designs and get the fundamentals right and you're good.

Gaz is the most talented League jersey designer in the world. Seriously. His designs are better than anything out there.

I hate the Broncos jersey so much for what it isn't not for what it is.

It is clean, simple and well integrated so I am satisfied. But when you compare it to Gaz's versions and what we had through the early 90's I feel jaded about our identity.

You're right. I couldn't put my finger on what it was, but now you mention it, you're right. I could see it being worn in the Tour de France.

I think the Broncos jersey looks better when its worn.
The pattern reminds me of something a knight would wear in the dark ages but the wrong colours.
I think other teams cold pull it off. Dragons and Bulldogs could do it well I think.

The new bris jersey ticks just about all the boxes everyone in here usually cries for, simple, right colours, no stupid piping, sponsor isn't on a billboard ala wow, no watermarking... it just has a design element that hasn't been used on a league jersey before in the asymetrical top section... which is now why everyone is wanting tio scratch their eyes out...

Personally i loved the 99-2001 series of our jerseys, and love gazf's designs... this isn't on a par with either of those but is far better than a lot of rubbish that has been seen of late...

Not trying to be a smart-arse mate, but if Dragons ever came up with that as an alternate, I'd laugh.

I understand that we have to switch from the "Illawarra" jersey to the "Blood and Bandages" jersey every few years to get coin, but if we ever ran out in that, I'd pmsl (no offence Broncos fans).

Could somebody who has photoshop skills change the colours to see what it would look like in Dragons and Bulldogs colours? Change it so both have white where the maroon is and then for Dragons red instead of the yellow and for Bulldogs have blue instead of yellow.

I have shit photoshop skills so wouldn't want to post my edits but my quick attempt they both worked reasonably well with the sponsor colour matching the top section... actually looked alright for a knights and eels set up as well.. kinda like the eels 2000ish winnie blues packet jersey just asymetrical...

design is growing on me

Reebok have done the Dragons jerseys since 2010. Some of the alternate jerseys Adidas came up with were shockingly bad and had more to do with Adidas branding than with the Dragons.

As for the home jersey, there isn't much Adidas or Reebok can do to ruin it as the Dragons are fiercely protective of the Red-V design.
