So Warriors have five on-field jerseys for this season (so far) - Main, Alternate, Women in League, Heritage Flax, and Capital Clash.

And you can bet they'll find another at some point in the year.

How the NRL hasn't stepped in is beyond me, increased funding from merchandise is great but it needs to be done in a way that doesn't ruin the onfield brand. I'll say it again - fashion jerseys like US sports have done for years. Allows for any style of jersey to be made for fans without wrecking the onfield product.

It's not 'word' - it IS happening.

Albury Thunder will enter the NSW Cup next year and be the feeder side for the Storm. The Sharks will have a stand alone NSW Cup team.

It was a great deal between the two clubs who both had pressure to reduce costs at the time.

Great to see the Storm run with a (relatively) local feeder side, will be a boost to RL in the region. Also great to see the Sharks standing back on two fins financially.

How many rugby league jerseys have proper collars anymore? There's the Warriors' Wellington one, the Storm wear a heritage one and I can't think of any others. I was very sad when Canterbury got rid of the Kangaroos' collar. It was the only bit of tradition left in it.

I actually prefer the current ISC type collars to the traditional old school collars. It's not the collar itself, rather the neck and the buttons etc.

On me, the buttons look weird when they're done up - yet equally strange when they're undone. I can never get the jersey to sit right.

The modern round neck has done away with this for me and I much prefer it

Traditional collars have passed us by and make no sense given all the efforts to make the jerseys as tight as possible to prevent grabbing. I'm a big fan of the All-Blacks mock traditional collar which I've co-opted into a lot of my work. The collar type has been around for years but I think they were the first to have a contrasting collar (compared to the placket). Its a more traditional look but doesn't give away an advantage to the opposition.

if you get a chance, try on the new broncos jersey. the collar is smaller than it should be. getting it on and off will is a pain. I tried on medium (in the shop) and thought i was going to rip the jersey getting it off my head in the changing rooms. I thought maybe it was just cos it was a medium, but i got a XL and it has the same problem.

What's doing with the Tiger's Main jersey?

Have I missed it? All I've seen in this thread and around the traps in the predominately white strip with the claw marks.

Are they going to do a predominately black or orange strip for their Main jersey, or is the white one the Main jersey this year?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what exactly do you mean when you say that merchandising needs better regulation?

Poor wording on my behalf. I mentioned before that the NRL should step in and limit the number of regular season onfield jumpers to 3 or 4 per season. Outside of that, clubs should not be limited in what they produce so long as it does not impact on the image of the game (so no team branded sex toys for example).

Yeah 1 year to go, sleeve sponsor change led to a manufacturing delay, retail products due out early March last I heard.
