Though not a Saints fan, it always looked nice/clean on GF day. http://youtu.be/ZA4Omncn4gY

It has gone to hell over the years, that black lower back sponsor just looks nasty.

Yep. Old jerseys were the best. Like you said, even the backs of them with just the number looks good.

On the Broncos heritage jersey. Wow, Broncs must have a nuffy working in their jersey department this year. Shame, because they've had good jerseys in the past they could replicate.

I just went down to the Broncos League's club and here is a photo of the back of the heritage jersey:

Also, the latest Bronco magazine confirms that the away strip will have maroon shorts and socks this year. Looks like it wasn't a one off for the trials!

Better view of the Broncos jersey:

My preference for heritage would by the jerseys we won the 97/98 and 2000 grand finals in. The 99-2001 was one of my favourite designs, classic but not busy (not withstanding sponsors):

first preference would have been a proper throwback design to an important jersey. the 88 and 92 jerseys have both been done a couple of times now so a 2000 era jersey would have been nice. with it not being that i would have prefered a nod to the 06 jersey of our last premiership rather than basically the 08 jersey with a white collar and the honour roll. they could have easily added a bit of blue and white piping around the side panels to pull off the 06 look.

Not horrendous but not as great as it could have been.

i also wish the first mac logo was just white on maroon instead of white on black on maroon.

needs more white boxes on the back for numbers. i love that old look.

p.s. i too have more $$$ than sense and have already bought mine. ***hangs head in shame***

I'm with you brother. Just the indigenous jersey to go this year and the wallet bleeding can stop. Until the commemorative '13 premiership jersey - a fan can dream ;-)

Is this an onfield jersey? How are they allowed to have a dark front and light back?

what was the year ashton sims spilled the ball in the last minute against melbourne? I was counting my pennies to buy a premiership jersey that year up until that minute....

any idea when the indigenous one is getting released? i assume mid year or a few weeks before the close the gap round

2008. The fact I had to look that up means I must be starting to move on. No idea on the indigenous. In fact I am not even sure it has been officially mentioned. I am going off the place holder on goodscore.com.au.

Not much different to the heritage jersey from the last two years which had a predominantly maroon front and gold back.

Bronocs twitter told me some tiem in feb so can't be far off for the indigi jersey...

the F@#KING SIMS!!! incident was 08. i too am convinced we would have steam rolled to the premiership if not for THAT droped ball. but i've already had that arguement of what if before on here so won't bother to rehash it.

I still need to pick up a 13 home and 13 indigi jersey... then it is back to trying to get genuine aqua/teal kits (3 designs) and the 2 alternates from the 99-01 range with the yellow and the white sleeves... will just about have a complete set then...

Sims cops way too much blame over that. The Donkeys were running sideways and making absolutely no territory before he dropped the ball. You'd yell at an under-6 player for doing that with the game on the line. As the cliche goes, it was a team effort to lose it.

But as this is the jersey thread, I'll stay on topic. That Broncos heritage jersey sucks. I'm only a casual fan because I live in Brisbane (Bulldogs are my team) but I go to a lot of Broncos games and thought I might buy a jersey this year. That effort is just woeful though. The retro 88 and 92 ones will do me.

The bottom line is, had Brissy been good enough the game would have been decided before that moment. They just were not good enough that day.

I don't mind the Broncos' new heritage jersey. I like the fact that it's designed around the players, not the jersey itself. It pays tribute to every player without a complex, distracting design. I agree that the jersey itself could have been better, but it's designed to honour the players more than anything.

no he doesnt. he spent the whole year with poor ball security and i reckon he had a ball pop out at least once every game. with the game on the line wall he had to do was hold the f**king thing with both arms and get tackled. sideways or not he should have held it

have all major jerseys been released for all clubs now?

I think all home and away jerseys are now revealed. Prob only some indigi and wil or charity strips to go from what I've seen. Hanging out to see the Broncos first indigi jersey. Hopefully they can redeem themselves a bit with a great design. I'm not holding my breath though.

All home & away strips, to the best of my knowledge, are now known.

Just heritage/WiL and Indigenous throughout the season.

Warriors are yet to announce their Fush n Chups jersey, their Jandals jersey and their Chully Bun jersey, bro.

They're also going to have a training jersey next season based on the Treaty of Waitangi. :p
