That 2009 kit would be the best kit in the NRL! Love it. Just about everything looks better without a sponsor, but were obviously way past that point.

Yep, the 2009 sponsorless jersey was awesome except that from a Newtown traditionalists point of view it should have had the three stripes on the sleeve.

I own the following St Pauli t-shirts

RETTER means rescuer or saviour.
FYI Weltpokalseigerbesiger is a made up joke word. It means World Champion Winner Beaters. St Pauli beat Munich (the then World Club soccer champions) and claimed that title as their own. PS. They were an amateur club when they did it!

The Totenkopf (Dead Head) is the symbol of the Edelweiss Pirates, the only anti Nazi group within Germany in the 2nd World War. They murdered the head of the Gestapo in Koln, or Hamburg, I can't remember which.

Celtic also held a joint fund raiser to save St Pauli when they went bust. You can buy Celtic gear in the St Pauli shop or St Pauli gear in the Celtic shop. Fairly unique in football.
