2013 Jersey, Logo & Sponsorship Thread II

Parra will wear a 1983 heritage jersey I'm assuming against Manly. How that will differ from the current home strip I have no idea.

They are also polling as to whether or not to go back to the traditional Gold for next years away jersey.

Its a no-brainer but they would still have a year to see out in the white. Mind you, the league has been lax on clubs back-tracking on stupid decisions.

I thought that the NRL still need to approve the jersey, even if the club makes a stupid decision. Surely that ultimately makes it the NRL's stupid decision to rubber-stamp the club's choice.

Mind-you I've never heard of any cases where the NRL has rejected a club's preferred design. Does anyone know if that's ever happened?

If I recall correctly, most clubs need jerseys submitted and approved for next season by about now.

I was thinking about this this morning - Parra would be mad not to go back to gold away. Why they trialed the white/yellow hoops is beyond me.

In 2007 Parra had 3 jerseys, blue, gold and white. Next year all 3 may be available but they might not ever wear the hooped jersey. I can only remember a couple of times the 2007 white jersey was worn.

Knowing a lot of Para fans, they all wear the gold jerseys anyway.

I heard the gold jerseys were bigger sellers as well.

And told Para win more games in the gold than in the blue.

That white thing is utter trash.

Parra have enough history and so forth that they dont really need to be messing with their jerseys. Blue with gold stripes and the reverse when they are away. Done. Iconic clubs like them cheapen their image when they mess with their heritage. That 2005 jersey is an example of them messing unnecessarily with their gear.

the only thing i liked about Parra's current away jersey is that it could be an indication that next year their home jersey will be a South's-style hooped jersey in blue and gold.

I am hoding onto that small hope, but ive Parra have come out with some pretty terrible jerseys in the past, so im not holding my breath.

Edit: Ahhh, this is the one i was looking for. If they used this and then did a reverse of this in predominantly gold, they would make an awesome home ad away combination

On a side note, does the new lighter yellow that Parra use annoy anyone else?

That dirty yellow they had in '05 was great, but now they use a shitty canary yellow.

I'm pretty sure they have to wear every jersey they sell.

I like that idea.
