Well in the past there has been a open training session or signing session in ethier Brisbane or on the GC. So there wasn't one this year?

If it was advertised that kids could see the players train and have an opportunity after to get a photo and a signature and they did it every year as a members only event I think it would increase memberships. I lost count of how many people who live up here asked me if there was going to be an event where they could meet the players this year.
They had an open event a couple of years ago at Robina and it made the local news and hundreds turned up. If there was a cheap membership option without a pack etc where people could sign up on the day I can't see how it wouldn't work. Once the club has the contact details then they can also promote other things via email etc. It makes perfectly good sense to me anyway apart from the fact that it shows that the club cares about our regional fans.

The event they put on at Robina was a open signing session, lasted about an hour and got about 300 people or so attending. We did move some merchandise that day, I did take some questions about membership, but most people say if they can't go to a game what is the use of membership. Maybe now they get to go to two games for free plus if they make it to Parramatta, they can then show the level of support we have. Again taking a game to Brisbane would be better and we would get paid for it.

I believe there will be some changes to the membership

Hence when you go online, they have taken off the packages section as I know they will be tweaked a bit

Is this also the reason you can't renew online yet?

I believe, that after 4 years in office, that they'd get it right before they release them. :?

I don't know mate, considering the number of Membership Managers we have been through in those four years, I am surprised we get renewal information in a somewhat timely manner.

I would have assumed that from year to year, the membership packages would just need a bit of tweaking.
It ain't rocket surgery.

Yeah I agree, the price went up in 2008 / 09 before this new board members came to power, and it went up the year after to add in everyone?s $15 to go to FC membership, normally your ST prices don't change year on year, just the value you get for them, so the question would be what has changed?

Some clubs manage to get renewals started 3 home games before the end of the season.

Apparently it's not quite time yet... it's from Monday.

From the website:

Important Dates

Current Members will have a preferential renewal period for their existing Memberships.
All renewals of 2012 Memberships will be accepted from Monday 7th October until Thursday 15th November 2012.
All seats not renewed by Thursday 15th November will be released to existing Members wishing to move seats and new Members for 2013.
All new Memberships will be accepted from Monday 26th November 2012.

And the image below suggests we might have an away game for Round 1?

It might have been the 1st originally, and been changed on the website since.... but we were still selling 2012 memberships up until 14 September .

Hopefully there's an email to existing members later this week to clarify the procedures, and the exact details of the packages.

It was the 1st.

As I pointed out earlier, they are tweaking them.

The 12 Home Games is still not locked in yet.
