Cbf going back and looking if it has already been mentioned.

Southampton 7/2 for relegation after exodus and now in 2nd and looking at 7th by the end of the season IMO. Love my saints but I was thinking 12th-15th this season but I'll take this current form any day of the week

Leicester gave us a decent workout at the Bridge too

How good is the Jamie Vardy story too - three years ago he was playing for FC Halifax Town in Division 7, last night he scores the winner against Manchester United in the Premier League...

Cheating sh*t with a crap hair style, who got away with more fouls than a Sunday league player.

Once that story gets old and he isn't playing United he will fall back down to the championship.

Let me take my red-tinted glasses off for a minute and try to be impartial.

It would appear that Chelsea will run away with it with City to get second.

However I believe 3rd and 4th will be decided by which of the Goners, Man U, or Liverpool sort out their defensive shit first (and second).

One has injuries, one didn't recruit that well, and one didn't recruit at all.

Long way to go yet. City still have a pretty good team and Mr Pellegrino will get them on a bit of a run soon enough.

Our ability to close down games is still a concern.

That's why I was always going to be happy with a point from Sunday night

Diego had been scoring for fun, but we were still conceding 1½ goals per game going in

We've certainly got less to fix than others though

But for most of that game your defence looked unbreakable, and would have held out against any other team. It was not only organised, but your players make strong challenges and are strong on the ball coming out of your half.

True, and it took a legend to finally break though us

We need to show that focus more consistently in other games though. That's what cost us last season

Ivanovic needs to stop getting caught so narrow and we'll be sweet, he seems to want to sit 3 or 4 metres away from the left sided centre-back. He did the same for the Naismith goal at Everton.

If Ivanovic stays that bit wider he cuts out the ball to Milner. He looks to be trying to look for Lampard, gets distracted then lets Lampard run into the space, he helps (unknowingly) create. There's enough players grouped to defend the zones, they get attracted to Silva (I think) who lifts the ball to Milner.

Liverpool beat Middlesborough in the Capital One Cup this morning on penalties after the game was locked 2 all at the end of extra time. They won 14-13 on penalties, needing 30 penalty attempts to separate the teams

Blackman did alright considering he's been sitting on the bench behind Cech, Hilario and Schwarzer while only playing 21's games for the past 2 years.

Good to see you're talking this defeat with grace and good humour Wirey
Just annoyed the coverage the diver got for Leicester.

We should of won and the players have to look at themselves.

Yes the defence looked exposed, but we played 3 centre forwards so of course they were exposed.
Throw in Herrera and Di Maria and no defence in the world would deal with it.

Lvg should of made a change. Bring Shaw on to cover Rojo who was a bit average.

He just left all the attackers on, eventually brought mata and Januzaj, then complained we were too attacking.

Still early days.
I'd like a bit more cover further back though. Drop rvp for a central mid. Maybe when Carrick is back, stick him in mid with blind. Herrera one wing, di maria the other with Rooney and falcao upfront.

Who said we were champs?

Are you making stuff up to amuse yourself?

Just about every Utd fan in the world proclaimed that United 'were back' after that QPR win. Now you because you like to generalise all Liverpool fans as self pitying scousers, then I should be allowed to generalise you as someone who thought United were back. Or do you just make up that I'm a self-pitying scouser to amuse yourself?
