We're so rubbish its almost comical. Thank god the owners have been getting advice on replacing Rodgers for a few weeks now apparently so he's on borrowed time.

We look utterly clueless in all areas of the game.

'Almost comical' is going extremely easy.

With seven teams within five points of the drop zone, I'd say it's way too early to say...

Very true, need to wait until end of Feb/March to really get a handle as to who is in the relegation scrap.
At this moment, I'd guess that Leceister, Burnley and QPR will all be there or thereabouts in the scrap.

Nothing would make me happier though than seeing Hull go down - Nothing against their team but I cannot stand Steve Bruce

Playing like a team lost for ideas in attack and completely without structure in defence. One goal from a peach of a free kick the other two you guys were just too open in the middle.

This is why I don't trust BR anymore. All these Liverpool fans 100% behind BR think they're white knights because they wanna give BR a chance to turn it around and prove all the 'plastics' wrong. 'You were calling him the messiah last season' they say. Okay, but no one could foresee this garbage.

I don't trust BR anymore for a few reasons. Firstly because our peak game seems totally reliant on having Sturridge in the team. Our general play has a lot of deficiencies, like our defence and midfield, but when the attack clicks into gear because of Sturridge being plugged in, it papers over those cracks. So because Sturridge hasn't been in the team, our weaknesses have been even more exposed. Historically, BR has never managed a team that's defensively sound, and the more money we spend on our defence, the worse it is actually getting, year by year. It's always the same old story; too open in the middle, defensive errors. So how do we continue with his philosophy if we don't score goals to make it work?

Secondly, his recruitment skills are proper geniused. Only two out of his overall 25 or so signings have been successful, and even then, Sturridge is turning into Michael Owen, while Coutinho is now just hot and cold.

Thirdly, I think Gerrard holds a gun to BR's head when he selects the team.

If I knew what style of play or formation you're going for it would be easy to pinpoint the person responsible for the reason you're being dominated in midfield.

Gerrard is past it. He's not a holding midfielder, he can't tackle and is too slow to chase. Playing in your defence would be a nightmare because there is absolutely no shield at all. Their forwards was being fed at will.

That's the frustrating thing, noooooo one knows! We don't have identity anymore...

The best way to use Gerrard these days is in attacking positions. He can still play further up the field very well if he's not overworked. He needs to come off the bench far more often like Lampard did. You're right, he's not fast enough, and he's not defensively disciplined enough to be a DM. While not perfect, Lucas is far more adept at playing holding midfield, just as long as Gerrard isn't paired with him as a pivot.

I prefer this one, Jimbo.

Yes, that is also valid

Incidentally, in the twenty competitive matches since Brenda mentioned how easy it is to defend like Chelsea, Liverpool have kept only two clean sheets while conceding 31 goals...

After today's loss was the most worried I have ever seen Rodgers' face look.

He knows he's gone mate.

The amount of times this season that opposing midfielders have just strolled past Gerard, "Welsh Xavi" or Coutinho is ridiculous. You would think having worked in a coaching system under Mourinho, BR would have an idea about defending. Players like Sakho, Lovren and Skrtel aren't bad defenders, they perform well either for their countries or before they got to LFC. As soon as they runout for us it's f**king amateur hour.

Watching us is a mess, we have no gameplan at all. No one dictates our style of play in the midfield, it's just 40 yard diagonal long balls from Gerard or One of the defenders.

Surely the club will appoint a Director of Football now after the BR refusal to work under one debacle.

I agree. This doesn't mean we're plastic, it just means that we're trying to see around the corner. Why do some people think that our defence will just magically get better? Rodgers has never managed a defensively sound team!

Seen enough now... Cya BR

If we were playing well and just being a tad unlucky and not getting the results I could be more sympathetic in giving him time to turn it around. But we are just inept, the difference from last years side to this years is just ridiculous. .

The morale and confidence of the squad is shot to pieces. Last year we were waltzing through sides for fun, now we are playing like dears in headlights.
