Lots of teams have improved their jerseys this year, as a whole they're much better than years gone by IMO. Tigers, Titans and the Eels have made good improvements off the top of my head after a few years of ugh.

I've said it before & I'll say it again.

I think we're entering a good era of jersey design - designers have reigned-in the worst excesses of the late 1990s-2000s (busy designs, gradients etc), and are focusing on simple features. Vees, blocks of colours, stripes. Basically designs that look like footy shirts.

Sure there's the odd issue around piping, sponsor blocks & side panels, but the direction is positive.

And I'd agree with him. Last year St George played Canterbury at ANZ, both wore their home kits. No problems determining who was who, even a fair way away from the ground (as it is with ANZ). In most cases Saints wear their red strip instead.

Yeah, was channel surfing between games on Friday night and saw that collingwood and Geelong were playing, and they would have to be one of the closest in jersey designs, but no clash jersey was needed, just one team wore darker shorts. Penrith should always be brown IMO. There is already enough dark coloured teams as is. If they were playing another team with a white jersey, then they could have brown shorts with a white stripe instead.

The Tigers jersey today looked brilliant

Simple, clean and represents the past and who they are now.

If I were a Tigers fan I'd be buying it and asking them to have it as a full time jersey for next season

I wonder what NQ will be wearing tomorrow night, I don't recall seeing any heritage jersey designs online or in their shop this year.

The Storm's arrogant attitude remains no surprise. The NRL allows too many clubs to thumb their nose at the concept of heritage round... they need to get real about it if they want to drum it up and make it a worthy event.

Like the Raiders, they often get the big f**k you with matchups. With heritage rounds being so Sydney-centric, its no wonder many outsider clubs don't bother. The Storm and Titans have next to no history (98, 2007-present). For once I'd like to see Storm v Dragons and eventually Storm v Manly.

Storm, home game in heritage round. Not wearing heritage jersey.

Apparently wearing it old boys day.

NRL should say if a club is having a heritage jersey, it must be worn heritage rd.

It's a joke the way it is now.

While I take your point, Melbourne could argue scheduling them to play Gold Coast is the NRL thumbing it's nose at the Heritage Round concept. Apart from being the two newest introduced clubs to the comp, they have no significant history.

Why there couldnt have been Parra v Melb and Bris v GC would've been better pairings, at least Parra/Melb is a GF throwback and Bris v GC is a derby

Why? Penrith has been black for as long as it has been brown.

1967 - 1990 = Brown
1991 - 2014 = Black

Because nobody else has brown. Brown done the right way can look very good. It makes the Panthers Jersey easily identifiable and clashes with nobody.

Brown's great for nostalgic occasions. I still wear mine to games. That's in the past though. We're black now, like a Panther should be (or Pink).
Back in the day, we were originally blue but there were too many blue teams already in the comp (Cronulla got in just before us) and Wests had black.

We've won 2 Premierships in black now, so I reckon that seals the deal.

The sad thing is, the jersey they were supposed to wear between 1999-2001 was actually really good and kinda plain. But because Fila released it early, the club cracked the shits and made them do another which is what Glen 'Northern Hill Shitter at Leichardt Oval' Morrison is wearing.
