I noticed tonight the Saints jersey had a white box around the collar sponsor...looked stupid against an already white background. Small thing, but you have to wonder...

is anyone else seeing glimpses of Freddie, Carter, MG, Brandy and Cartwright during this game??
The mud dirtying the jersey makes them look more heritage

& the penguin Graeme Bradley. Was having flashbacks of a massive MG shoulder charge and a dust up. The jersey looked superb. Bring back the chocos.

The riff should go for this next year.

They have butchered it enough with black boxes and a logo over the vee. May as well keep going. Im told there is a sanits jersey design under there somewhere.

Yep, surprised that Penrith haven't done the vertical stripes as a heritage jersey yet. Certainly needs to be looked at - it's a nice straightforward look.

The Penrith Jersey last night bought up a conversation about jersey clashes in my family. In the late 80's Penrith, St George and Canterbury all wore a predominately white kit. Yet the old man reckons you always knew which teams were which

And I'd agree with him. Last year St George played Canterbury at ANZ, both wore their home kits. No problems determining who was who, even a fair way away from the ground (as it is with ANZ). In most cases Saints wear their red strip instead.

Agreed, it's quite hard to set up a rivalry/heritage round when half the teams came in or merged in the last 10 years of the 20th century.

Personally i'd have a local derby/growing rivalry/GF rematch system;

Brisbane vs Gold Coast (Local Derby 2007)
Wests vs North Queensland (2005 GF rematch)
Melbourne vs New Zealand (Growing rivalry i'd say since 2008 first round final)
Canberra vs Penrith (1990-1991 GF rematch)
Newcastle vs Manly (1997 GF rematch)
Cronulla vs St George (Local Derby 1967)
Souths vs Easts (Local Derby 1908)
Parramatta vs Canterbury (Local Derby 1947)

IS IT THAT HARD NRL?!
I love that STORM play the Warriors on ANZAC Day.Gotta keep that.

Yep. As you posted in jubilee ave, they've changed the logo from this:

This usually happens when the sponsor, in this case Kumho Tyres, isn't happy with the exposure of the original logo. Same thing happened on the 2012 Parra jersey, the UNE logo on the back of the jersey apparently wasn't clear enough so they slapped a blue sticker over the original logo on the blue jersey and a yellow sticker on the yellow jersey.

For any number with three zeros at the end I reckon stuff is negotiable.

Some of the forummers here would make TERRIBLE businessmen...

Seriously you could barely read the original Kuhmo print, they're well within their right to demand the logo they forked out cash to display can actually be legible.

Lots of teams have improved their jerseys this year, as a whole they're much better than years gone by IMO. Tigers, Titans and the Eels have made good improvements off the top of my head after a few years of ugh.

The EPL have the right idea. Jersey changes every year but the changes are relatively minor and keeps within an overall scheme/design/colour which is inline with the heritage and past of the club.

We don't and I don't think should change every year but every 2-3 years is good if given the above.

I don't mind the idea of having all Home Jerseys in the league consistent on a year-year basis with Away/Alternate Jerseys being open to change

End of the day the throat logo is a joke...

I would be surprised if any team actually made money out of it..

As soon as you squeeze in another logo, your major sponsor would start driving their price down...

Id rather have $900,000 from major sponsor, rather than $800k and a kumho throat thing
