Actually like the Lezignan jersey. Women in league jerseys should be subtle like this.

Pity about all the ads, but teams in developing RL nations need all the sponsor dollars they can get I suppose.

Yes I realise that. I just meant that, despite the history of RL in France and places like Lezignan, France is at the moment developing from a relatively weak RL nation into a stronger one.

Ie, they should make the most of funding and sponsorship opportunities. Jerseys becoming billboards is part of that I guess.

Being the home of cycling, I guess they're used to having sponsors plastered everywhere.

The text is a lot better than the leaked version. Looks ok, it will grow on people i reckon.

The full body panther is a better way to than just the head.

Looks better than earlier, I don't get why they have the stripes in the text unless it's to break up the "S" from the underline

As the logo is only black and teal, I'm assuming the (Penrith??) Panthers colours will revert to that now and they'll ditch the red

Some marketing clown probably told them they needed to ditch it to have wider appeal. Doesn't anyone remember when everyone wanted to be Sydney?

I was thinking this too. I dont hate it nearly as much as the first time i saw it. (That font is a million times better than the original one released)

Its just the head that still bugs me. Im fine with the full body thing, but the head they put on it is just ugly, it doesnt draw you to it like some other logos do. I can promise that no one will miss this one when they change it again in a few years.

Edit: serioulsy though, put it on a badge or a shield or something, just to take the focus away from it a little bit. It's going to look terrible on a jersey as is.

They ditched the red a couple of years ago - it only appeared on the logo after about 2011 I think. Other than that it hasn't appeared on either jersey for a while.

Where to begin?

• The detailing on the Panther still needs cleaning up.
• Facial details are tiny and add no depth to the front-on face, something the current logo actually manages to do.
• Front leg looks tacked on top of the body as an afterthought
• Two shades of teal
• The P and A in the wordmark do not fit together
• Wordmark appears to change slant from left to right, because of the overly angled A
• S doesn't register as an s because its cut 3/4 down.
• BIG fat keyline around the panther

Those facial details are ridiculously tiny, theres unnecessary slithers of black on the tail and feet the front leg looks tacked on over the top of the rest of the body, face looks flat, unnc

The rumour is still that the 2014 strip will incorporate gold into the colour scheme.

Having not had a chance to officially unveil the new jersey, realise everyone hates it, backtrack and make changes, it seems that gold is still the favourite.

The tail looks like it doesn't belong, I think because there is no black in it, and the outline is the same thickness as the tail itself...
