I would guess that Souths will play Roosters at ANZ in round 1 on a Thursday night. If the Broncos are to play Bulldogs as rumoured then that can be at ANZ on the Friday.

Isn't ANZ already booked for the Friday? Super 15 or something?

EDIT: Hang on, did I get the grounds mixed up? Is it Suncorp already booked?

Suncorp is booked Friday (S15 Reds) and Sunday (AL Roar).

AAMI Park is booked the Friday as well (AL Victory)

Allianz is unavailable Saturday night (AL Syd), as is Hunter Stadium (AL Jets).

ANZ has nothing booked as far as I know.

May have been mentioned elsewhere (maybe even this thread) but the Western Weekender on Twitter has reported that Penrith will play a home match at Bathurst (Carrington Park).

Yeah i agree, back in 1976 wests won 16 games in a row. these days the only ever team that even came close is the greatest modern team of modern times would have to be the Brisbane broncos. Wat a great team, massive support on a world wide scale

Weats have never won 16 in a row. Roosters won 19 in a row in 1975. Since then...

Bulldogs won 17 in a row in 2002. Melbourne 15 in a row between 2012-13. Manly 15 in a row in 1995.

Brisbane isn't even in the same league when it comes to winning streaks.

I think we can lock in ANZ for Thursday & Friday nights

Bunnies Roosters & then Dogs v Broncos

Sat 5.30pm Eden Park maybe Warriors & Tigers (7.30pm NZ time)
Sat 7.30pm a Sydney game .... Remondis . Sharks V Raiders ??
Sat 9.30pm Robina for a Titans game... V Cowboys maybe ( 8.30pm Qld time)

Sun 3pm .... AAMI Park Storm V Dragons
Sun 7pm ..... Centrebet Stadium .... Penrith V Parramatta
Mon 7pm..... Hunter Stadium .... Knights & Manly

that's how'd I'd do it
some fair match ups & only one game during the potential searing heat of the day
a round that with fine weather could attract 200K fans as well.

**
Edit .... just saw the S15 draw .. the Raiders will be playing at home in round 1 of the NRL as the Brumbies have Canberra Stadium booked for rounds 2 & 3
So swap Remondis for Canberra

Surely the Dogs streak is as meaningful as a Storm premiership in the noughties, or does that not suit LUs agenda?

11 straight wins in 1932 is Wests best effort troll

I want the Broncos televised every single Friday night just to piss off everyone else. Even if they have the bye, channel 9 will go to a live feed of whatever activity they are partaking in.

Censorship laws don't allow commercial tv stations to show live footage of gangbangs.

In toilets with their now club captain leading the way (while his wife & newborn child are at home). Funny thing is QLD'ers would still watch in droves.

What would you all think about the NRL completely formalising this whole end of year process?

Have a single date in November when the ARLC bring the press in and do a big formal closing of the last season, then they officially launch the next seasons draw and all the teams jerseys and memberships all at the same time. Everything goes on sale at the same time and they get a huge publicity hit for all of it.

Has merit

No, said child will be there with Ian Watkins as the half time entertainment.

Buzz reckons in his column today Manly/Melbourne will open the season on Saturday night.

He also says FOX are interested in moving the 9:30 delayed Saturday game most weeks into a 6pm Sunday (hotter months) or 3pm Saturday (winter months) timeslot.

Don't mind your match ups, but give us a home game in round 1 for once.
Been 10 seasons since we've played at home in round 1.

the Raiders to get less night games in the dead of winter

I think this is a really fair point the NRL makes sure the Cowboys don't play at Townsville on a Sunday arvo which suits both the players and the fans you would have to imagine, so why not give the Raiders more Sunday and Saturday (when they have them if not 5.30) arvo games.
