Hoppas old man has called on Fulton not to select will. Says he's not ready yet. Sadly he has a point

I think BA was right in saying that Hoppa won't let anyone down. Personally I think that he can handle the D, certainly find his winger or the high ball - but lacks a line break in his repertoire at this stage. I am sure that this time next year he will be able to beat a man like he used to.

He should have been the 2nd player picked. You guys are kidding.

like the 1-7 not sold on Hoffman or Scott, but it is a solid side and Pearce is nowhere near the side which can only be a plus.

I thought Hoffman was diabolically poor last year. He's another year older.

Good bench though. Starting backrow is the weakness plus lack of game time for farah, and lewis.

We will be giving a lot away in the halves but if the pack can aim up we can have a crack with our outside backs.

We will really miss Bird and Cordner.
Hoffman isn't even close to Origin level and Scott isn't much better.
Personally I would have had Wade Graham in there. Very talented who is playing some good football (albeit for a crap team).

Tony Williams plays two good games and is suddenly in Origin again.
And I'm not a fan of the Canterbury halves at all. Hodkinson I could probably deal with, but Reynolds is hopeless.

I hope Tupou matches up against that pretender Boyd. Although I wouldn't mind seeing him tear Tate a new one either.
For all that is true about QLD being a champion team , they have got to be the most overrated wingers ever.

Backline at least are all coming into a bit of form, plus would only be Hoppa & Mansour as other possibilities.

Halves are the premiership leading halves so can't argue with that, and are smart enough to distribute the ball, unlike ballhog Pearce. Field kicking may be a weakness, but then again I don't know who you would bring in to fix that, Pearce isn't a great kicker either. They're both scrappy players which you need at Origin.

Pack.... Farah I can understand, Mannah's a better prop than Woods but Woods has more of an Origin mentality, Tamou has bit of form recently & they won't drop Gallen no matter how old and slow he is looking. But Hoffman & Scott... I was no fan of Bird or Cordner coming into this Origin but I would take each of them in wheelchairs over Hoffman & Scott.

I don't rate the bench much higher than the backrow. I don't think Merrin is mentally up to Origin, Watmough is well past his prime, Daley obviously assumes most players a Queenslanders otherwise why would he pick Lewis, Williams is the new Dugan but at least if T-Rex learns how to play his role, he'll be unstoppable.

I just pray we somehow snag 2 wins and most of these nuffies retire from rep football

What's with the TRex love ? Every year NSW never fail to disappoint . Luke Lewis is another that should be put to sleep.

Wow Hoffman again.

He's always been terrible at rep level but always seems to get picked.

Tariq Sims anyone?

Looks like Josh Morris will get his spot.

I would have picked hoppa instead of Tupou, Josh
Morris deserves his spot.

And T Sims instead of Hoffman.

All in all Though I think it's a good side, that's capable winning, but we'll need some luck.

I'm just happy no Gidley and no Ennis.

Definitley a move I the right direction

And I like the halves.

Probably in the last few Cowboys games Id say Sims deserved to be in the team somewhere. Unlucky I reckon..

Not sure about T Williams and Tupou being there.
