2014 Origin - Game 1

Lazy and disinterested too often. And no bullshit about how he just "looks" disinterested - sometimes he just walked out and didn't put himelf into the game.

Sooky quite regularly. Taking dives, whinging to the refs, stuff like that.

Seems to be all gone this year. He seems focused all the time, aggressive with the refs instead of sooky, not pretending to be hurt or staying down and I haven't seen a game this year where he wasn't pushing his involvement (and this is with a better spine around him, too, which could be an excuse to stand off).

2014 seems like a year where all that childishness is behind him.

This.

Hayne has been a good player since his NRL debut and a great player (and therefore very influential) since 2009. But his displays of attitude have been extremely poor up until this year, which has hurt the team's overall attitude when they've needed him the most.

Quite frankly that is all a coaching issue.

Look at the Raiders this year, Campese in particular: sooky, taking dives, whinging to the refs.

It's a product of a bad system where an intelligent footballer gets frustrated because the system doesn't work. You can't just trust the system to produce, nor stop, points. And so you start playing the angles.

I didn't see ANY of the alleged sooky behaviour in 2009/10. Staying down after being hit in the head, sure, but everyone knows you should do that in order to get the penalty you deserve that the refs didn't give you.

The best part is that my mate (who was attending his first ever NRL game) is also in it, laying down some smack talk for something that is only a budding interest.

The attack has to be based around Hayne and Farrah.

T-rex needs to be picked. In red hot form and imagine Hayne firing balls to him.

Backline
Hayne
Morris
Jennings/Idirs/Whighton (personally id go Idris)
Morris
Tafua/Hoppa/Dugan

Or halves are all about as good as each other.Thats why id go for the bulldogs ones. They can steer us around and are tough. Also means Hayne will get more ball and a bigger role to attack along with Farrah.

Mannah shouldn't be even thought of for origin. He is a hard worker but not good enough pure and simple.

Tamou & Gallen front Row
Watmough-Scott second row
Bird - Lock

14 Grant
15 Merrin
16 L.Lewis
17 T-Rex-He is back to best
