2015 Crowd Watch part III

No surprise that Cows/Broncos sell so quickly compared to the other finals who at best would get 50% capacity of Allinaz/ANZ despite it being finals. It's finals time if supporters can't be bother to show up to finals eg Manly vs Cows in past years then what would they show up to in the first place.

Im really shocked at how poorly the Cowboys supporter bays are selling, to be honest.

You have got to remember the Cowboys did not know when they were playing. m

I was in Townsville to see the Cows play the Titans. Even after the game at about 11 pm at the Cowboys Leagues Club Peter Parr said they did not know as it depended on the games on Sunday.

Not every one has friends or a park bench reserved for them plus the cost of air tickets and maybe time off work at the drop of a hat. I will be there because I live on the Gold Coast so only have to train it up.

Got my ticket in Cowboys supporters bay but would normally sit amongst the general public.

Welcome, Cowboy Pete. This is fair, some travellers would also be holding back because regardless of a win or a loss you will get a home final in Townsville, many would also be saving the dollars incase of a grand final appearance.

I know of about 10 people flying down for the game and I don't think any of them are sitting in the cowboys 'supporters' bay, which lets be fair dinkum, is not exactly the best seats in the house. The lack of those seats selling is more of an indication that the NQ fans are keen to sit elsewhere, there will be a fair contingent of us at the game, don't worry about that ;-)

I remember flying up to Brissy a few times when i lived in Sydney in the late 1990's for cows v broncs, never in a million years (after seeing the 12-15k rock up at QEII )would I ever expect games of 40-50k between us $hitbags and the Broncs.

04 finals was the turning point in Cows/Broncos from becoming Titanequse at Suncorp to getting 40k+ at Suncorp. The moment Cowboys got that win over the Broncos it legitimatized them in QLD finally after years of being the other QLD team. At the moment, the Titans is the 'other QLD team' until they turn things around eventually there in the 2010 Cows phase at the moment, eventually a clean-out and fresh talent should be bring them back eventually.

Now if only the Titans can turn it around in the future along with a 2nd Brisbane team, NRL would benefit for it as stronger QLD= bigger crowds.

I did notice those restricted view seats at ANZ before, next time Ill book them!

When you come out of the tunnels to your seats at Suncorp some of the bars are pretty high and can get in the way. I think the worst restricted view seats are in level 6 because that stand is old. Its never been a problem for me.

If you can get level 3 restricted view seats in 301, 302, 303, or 340 you will love life. They usually are row 8-10 and are restricted only by the tunnels the players run out of, but only if you're tiny! See below pic, I always sit here when I can. Sometimes I do like to be higher though.

About 50 seats left in white - 300 left in the away bays. Restricted view to come on sale pretty soon, for whoever wants $12 adult tickets!

EDIT: Bunch of held seats released.

Yes free transport is standard these days for finals matches

Not sure if that pax is inclusive of stadium members? If it isnt then its a decent start with it being the last game

How does it feel to have failed so badly as a parent thorson? :p

In other news, I wonder how many of those 30,000 souffs members will bother to show up?

If last Friday night is anything to go by then they should pull in a pretty good crowd on Friday night too.

Credit where its due. Roosters outplayed us on the footy field and up in the stands too. Far more Roosters supporters at the game last Friday night then anticipated.
