If we have stand alone origins, would love to see

Week 1:
Friday Night: City vs Country (emerging talent)
Saturday 5.30pm: Fiji vs Samoa
Saturday 7.30pm: Tonga vs PNG
Sunday 7pm: NSW vs Queensland

Week 2
Friday Night: NSW Cup vs Qld Cup
Saturday 5:30pm: PNG vs Samoa
Saturday 7.30pm: Tonga vs Fiji
Sunday 7pm: Queensland vs NSW

Week 3:
Friday Night: Tonga vs Samoa
Saturday 5.30pm: NSW 20s vs Qld 20s
Saturday 7.30pm: Fiji vs PNG
Sunday 7pm: NSW vs Queensland

sounds good to me!

great weekend of footy every week. i mean most people look forward to one game (club game) which is replaced by origin. and for the avid fans theres good footy on besides anyway.

only concern is the englishmen and kiwis have nothing to do in this period. would be great to organise one week off in super league for a england vs kiwi test as well.

Q-Clash only drew 12,464 so much for AFL taking over QLD lol. Broncos been top of the ladder should ramp things up marketing/advertising wise for the remaining home games and take this opportunity to leave the Lions in the dust. To think a decade ago, there was those who thought QLD become a AFL state in the other sports forum lol.

Pray for those plebs!

Marketing here has been shyte.

A decade ago? Go check out BF, there are threads on their main forum today claiming that AFL is the second most popular team sport in QLD... The place is a nuthouse.

[QLD has the] 2nd highest participation rate of any state in the country and a clear (and closing) number 2 in popularity amongst the sporting codes...must be really struggling

The peak of 'QLD becoming a AFL state' mantra was during the 01-05 during the Lions three-peat and post super-league war. Just plain delusion still to this day those thinking QLD would become a AFL state lol.

May be the fans are still at the bar or the toilets but at the moment the crowd looks poor at ANZ.

Not a good look at lang park. And the fight is not an excuse.

I cannot remember the last time a crowd exceeded expectations

20-25k Max. The fight would have taken a lot of spectators away.

The fight has been over for more than an hour. That's simply no excuse.

The rescheduling of the test would have more to do with it than anything. People who had tickets for the test on Friday night and already had other commitments for Sunday before the rescheduling announcement.

Just looking on tv, anything over 30k would be good. The bigger tv ratings will make up for it, hence the reason why Ch9 wanted the rescheduled time at 4pm leading into Nine News (and the subsequent Sunday evening programmes).

48 hr delay is an excuse. That would have to have effected 25% or so who had flights back today.

And a severe natural disaster affecting the rest.

Taking that into account the crowd is excellent
