I am assuming that figure includes Awesome Foursomes? If so, maybe there are 1500 delusional nutjobs who wouldn't choose the Cowboys game as one of their four. :sarcasm:

Beats me why they wouldn't show.

1.2 billion (per capita, pro rata, world according to RaiderDave).

Haha yeah I assume that includes the AF members, yeah its sad that the cowboys game has been losing its edge.

Needs to be round one next year.

Hahahahaha!

FYI, for the Cowboys game:

GReeoTY.jpg

Phhtt

25k members which is pathetic by itself
But most of them are...

Passionless
Lazy
& Generally an embarrasment to the NRL

2 million people & all they could muster is 40k for their biggest game :lol:

Wow:sarcasm:

Not to say that ANZ is the Dragons best option, but todays crowd was undeniable better than anything Kogarah could have produced.

Disagree strongly - Would have been a sell out or the same size crowd at least if it had been a true home game.

Hopefully given good weather we can scrape 15,000 on friday for a table topping clash

I actually agree with you, although not many saints fans would.

5 SFS, 2 KOGARAH, 5 Wollongong for the last 14 years would have been ideal.

Definitely agree....

It was a huge mistake to leave SFS and return to Kogarah. The averages today are about what they were back in 2002, but the potential growth lost coming out of the SuperLeague reconstruction and the Bennett years is just tragic for this club.

Even if that were the case (which is a long way from certain), its funny that people would consider that a better result than the same number at anz....

"18k at kogarah = brilliant"
"20k at ANZ = code in crisis":crazy::crazy::crazy:

I must say i commented earlier before watching the game thinking it was going to be 15k or so the way people were complaining. 20k is not very bad but its not really good either considering the size of both clubs fan bases. The future still lies in gate sharing to build crowds at major stadia but i hope we see the back of ANZ stadium soon and a shift to a new rectangular ground.

Kogarah crowds have been pathetic and wollongong not far behind in recent times so i believe the dragons are right to split their games across the venues to maximise their revenue.

On one hand 20k seems fairly meh for 2 teams that have potention to draw better, but it is still a heck of a lot better than most of the crap this weekend.

It's just that when games are played at ANZ people expect bigger crowds.

SLR

With Broncos going strong and Reds epic failing, crowds can go 36k+ if they keep winning.

Hmmm I don't think so.

If only we had 42k for Rabbitohs and Cowboys.

-Eels say 38-40k.
-Penrith, Knights and Sea Eagles will probably be 27-30k.
-Tigers are on a Sunday so should be 30-32k.
-Titans - 31-34k.
-Bulldogs - depending on form - 28 - 38k.
-Dragons - depending on form - 32k - 40k.
-Storm - 35k+.

kogarah, leichardt, win, brookie are all shit holes.

im a tigers fan, and i love leichardt but honestly im thinking of not renewing my membership there and sticking to ANZ from now. so hard to get to, seats are average and expensive. atmosphere is great i wont deny that, but id rather they build a rectnagular 40k stadium for us, parra, dogs and souths or something. 20k there would still be good fun and encourage people to come back.

but regardless, anz will usually pull higher than suburban grounds like kogarah. good decision to move it there

Just because the game got 20k at ANZ doesn't mean it would've been the same size at Kogarah. If anything, it would've been smaller at Kogarah
