NRL need a new strategy. I think they thought getting people as members would see crowd increases which hasn't happened for the most part. Seems they are now going down the cheap ticket route. Maybe we just need to face the fact nrl isn't as popular as we wished it was? 20k avg is still a couple of decades away at this rate.

Under 18 age $5-$10 tickets
$10-$15 for the shitty seats for the rest
Reciprocal rights for all members

That'll do it

To be fair it's only been a few years of really pushing memberships.

We still have new clubs in Bris/Perth, new CBD stadiums in T'ville and Canberra + a new SFS to happen in the next ~5 years. All of which could all help to bump up the crowd average.

This, how hard is it. You spend money inside stadiums anyway. Plus full strength beer at ALL stadiums.

Look across the remaining rounds, there are maybe 5 rounds that will go above a 16k average so its going to be a long hard season of disappointing crowds to come

We had 2 crowds of 11,000 today in decent weather and reasonably priced. Both should have been closer to or exceeding 15k for any sign of progress being made

As for the ARLC grand vision of a 20k average that seems delusional at this stage and i hope someone in the media hounds them about it.

I agree, how DARE they be ambitious!!!!

We need to be aiming as low as possible so we can be happy with mediocre turnouts.

Prediction for Dogs v Dragons: anything over 2k would be FANTASTIC!!!! :sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm:

These arent unreasonable demands, but it could only happen as games played in ANZ or SFS...

You cant expect a team with a 20k capacity to effectively give tickets away for free

Clubs such as Canberra, Cronulla, Manly, and Roosters make it hard for the crowd average to grow. Roosters won a premiership yet there crowds decline, Manly couldn't average 16k during a decade of success, Cronulla is Cronulla and Canberra need long-sustained success to bring crowds back.

As I said earlier, anything less than 30k at ANZ Stadium this afternoon will be disappointing. 30k is the pass-mark
