Souths is the pride of empty ANZ stadium and that be in full force tonight. Souths is a team that should averaging 30k+ with all the success they have now. You think the bandwagon will come out in full force after decades of failure. If there the 'pride of the league' then they should lead by example in attendances.

Monday, Thursday and Sunday night football must go in order for the average attendance to increase. MNF is responible for the average attendance drop. NRL need to be more consumer friendly in the next TV deal even if it mean sacrificing a few million in exchange for better crowds.

2 years in a row we have had the highest crowds in Sydney. Manly has had much more success and their crowds are among the worst in Sydney. Easts have had as much success as us and their crowds are much smaller.

crowd doesnt look half bad.

~13k is the average for this fixture though the last two games have got 17171 and 15972 for friday and saturday respectively. Looks about 14 - 15k, which for a monday night is fantastic really.

17k on a Saturday last season. Off the back of a premiership, during school holidays I would've expected more than 13k but it's not horrible - best MNF crowd this season actually.

Doing my comparison of this year's crowds to the equivalent games over the last 5 years.

Round 6 (126k) was 2k down on average (128k). We are now down 37k in total. Over 2009-14, Round 6 has averaged +7k. The gap between this year and the trend is getting larger.

There were actually more positives than negatives this week. It's just that most crowds offset each other.

Positives for the Round were:
- Broncos vs Roosters +6k (biggest crowd for these 2 teams since 1994)
- Eels vs Titans +2k (biggest crowd for this fixture since 2008)
- Dragons vs Bulldogs +1k
- Rabbitohs vs Cowboys +1k

Negatives were:
- Warriors vs Wests Tigers -5k (smallest crowd for this fixture since 2007)
- Panthers vs Sea Eagles -2k (smallest crowd for this fixture since 2008)
- Sharks vs Knights -2k

Raiders vs Storm was marginally negative.

Next week's par crowd total is 115k.

- Dragons vs Broncos 13k
- Bulldogs vs Sea Eagles 20k
- Titans vs Panthers 12k
- Cowboys vs Warriors 14k
- Storm vs Roosters 12k
- Wests Tigers vs Raiders 13k
- Knights vs Eels 19k
- Sharks vs Rabbitohs 13k
