Horrible decision.
Always one of the big games here.
One of only two I could take my kids to.
No way to build support in Melbourne.
Very unprofessional - the draw was released months and months ago.
Absolute rubbish.

Agree, very unprofessional, it should have been made known prior to memberships going on sale.

As an aside, storm season memberships seem very expensive.

Round 20 (Sat 25 Jul) - MEL v SGI @ AAMI Park now moved to McLean Park, Napier NZ.

Article: http://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/2015/02/26/storm_to_play_home_g.html
Club FAQ: http://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/2015/02/26/napier_faqs.html

I wonder why they chose Napier, Napier is small (pop. 60,000) and has probably one of the weakest league comps in the North Island. Tohu Harris is from the neighbouring town of Hastings so that may be one of the reasons but to me it just seems like an odd decision. Should get a good crowd though, Storm seem to be one of the more popular clubs amongst Kiwis.

Napier lobbied hard for it. Click the FAQ folks - it answers most of the questions posed...

Must've been done quietly but Roosters v Titans in Round 16 is headed to Gosford (Sun 28 Jun)

This will be the game to highlight how bad the salary cap is working.
Be amazed if anyone turns up. Watching the Titans basketcase against a international team in the roosters.

Id imagine the NRL gave a bit of a push to get it to Napier to test the waters for RL on the south side of the island to aid expansion info.

Yep that's my only issue with it.

Should have moved the Titans game over there which is 2 weeks later.

See this is the problem. Stop trying to hide away our basketcase teams. Either fix them up and start stacking them with the same amount of talent other clubs enjoy or "KICK THEIR SORRY ARSES OUT OF THE COMP'. Because hiding them away is not working wont work and just makes them look like they dont belong.
We should be able to take any team anywhere at any time.
Trying to hide them away like faking squirrel peanuts for winter is stupidity at it's finest.
If you dont want to see the Titans, then get rid of them/ Find another team that will be able to stack their club with superstars.

We had the Titans verse Warriors at a trail here in Toowoomba, that trail match attracted 7,500.

If we cant double that to proper events, then the Titans are not being supported and maybe 30 million needs to be spent on them.
Faking death-riding them is the problem.

You think the reason the Titans will field a weakened side is the salary cap? Wow.

Come-on Canard, you cant act that dumb. It is a well known fact that the Titans cant attract any superstar talent. It has been documented.

The salary cap is not working if basketcase clubs cant attract talent. The cap might be in place which helps, but some clubs are run like basketcases and should either be helped along or get rid of them/.

I have no problem with the Titans staying in the comp, but the NRL really needs to sink some funds and get some superstars to this club.
If your going to save them, then save them.

As i pointed out in another post, the Roosters have 15 international/origin players on their books.
Up against the Titans. Either fix the Titans or kick em out. No good just keeping them on life support.

.

Where has it been "well documented"

The following internationals/Origin are currently on the Titans Roster:

Greg Bird
Dave Taylor
Kalifa FaiFaiLoa
Nate Myles
Luke Douglas
Luke Bailey

How embarrassing . I cant even reply to that line-up, two are taking coke, another two are semi-retired.
I love Luke Bailey, one of my all time favourites bull Bailey, but gee whiz, they are scrapping the bottom of the barrell.

I am embarrassed that the Titans have a line-up the womens sowing club would have trouble finding spots for.

How was your holiday Canard. ? Get any vitamin D. Maybe too much,

Anyone enough conversing with the Town Drunk.

Does anyone think lowering the price of food at stadiums, like they have done at the MCG this year would help with crowds:

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/mcg-lowers-food-and-drink-prices-20150302-13sga0.html

The town drunk can answer that question on Friday Canard, as i will be at Suncorp Thursday nite and intend to buy something to eat and drink before the match and at halftime. I will give you a first class report.

I can tell you one thing, have you heard of Phat Burger, ? I bought a small chips and a burger from them here in Toowoomba on Saturday night and it cost me 17 dollars. ??? WTF. (the chips were full of faking greece as well)

I am now looking forward to being entertained by 2 of the best teams in the World and seeing how much it costs for a feed.
After 17 dollars for a burger and chips while staring at Toowomba's finest, surely it must be better value for money at the Footy.
As i said, i paid 79 dollars for bus and tickets, and i thought i got a bargain so far.
You me must be on different wave lengths. Your sending in morse, i have gone digital.
