Overall we need a growth of around 10% on last year, else we are making small headway.

Judging by the performance of a couple of clubs to date,it äint"looking good.

Was there a specific membership tv advert by this time last year? Also i have not heard or seen very much about memberships on mainstream media this year and i specifically remember last year it was very in your face

I reckon there was membership ads by now last year.

Should have started promoting already. But will probably start next week. If they don't start it's very poor from the NRL.

I remember for last season, they were doing little ads with the players at the World Cup in November. Not sure whether they were shown on TV though...

Most clubs closed on Dec 19 or so, some 24th. Then almost all re-opened the week of Jan 5 (not NYE/NYD). That's only 2 weeks of potential sales and it's not really a prime time for membership anyway. It picks up once on-field action recommences (i.e. Nines, All Stars) and will continue.

yea, i think the clubs need a little more time for everyone to get back to work so they can update numbers.

:lol::lol:

meanwhile, 2015 numbers look like theyre down or equal to 2014.

Hmm - looks like they are up?

You would expect the Warriors/ Sharks/ Raiders to have 15k members between them wouldn't you? They did this time last year. That'd make the membership number well up on this time last year (especially if people updated their numbers).

Easts don't have many fans...

For whatever reasons despite 100 years existence they just have failed to use that time as well as souths have.

For whatever reasons despite 100 years existence they just have failed to use that time as well as souths have.

The only solution i could imagine working to boost Easts support is a StG-Illawarra style move to Gosford....

A proper commitment (4 games a year would be good) instead of the occasional random matchup would see the general RL support focused into Rooster support (I think we've all accepted the CC Bears arent happening).

Scarcity in sydney appearances (8 instead of 12) would boost attendance to those, 18-20k is reasonable to expect from the CC given and we would probably even see CC fans trek down to sydney for the SFS games.

Is that all? I guess that's just some Roosters supporters who won't commit. Not true supporters. Sometimes members the next year not.

Seeing as there seem to be 10 times as many Rabbitohs fans as Roosters fans, I'd say you should be at 90,000 member by now :p

10% less than this time last year - I can't say I'm super depressed about our member numbers atm. If we crack 15,000 for the season I'll be ok

I reckon you guys could go close to 40,000 if you have another good season (which I'm tipping you to have btw)

Wests are up to 6086 on their website ticker. Still slow growth (about 20 per day), so need the kick before the start of the season. They are tracking about 1.3k higher than last year, but that may only be due to rollovers of memberships.

Does the multiple stadium approach damage Wests uptake of memberships? I'd be reluctant to get a full family membership given the lack of weather protection at two of the grounds.

Wests always seems to have a solid fan base but few members?
