2015 Membership Discussion

Roosters membership.

I have just rejected a Roosters phone call to renew my membership as the draw doesn't allow me to have a decent choice of games to go to. As I am in Newcastle I asked for a reciprocal ticket relationship for when the Roosters come up to play the Knights. This couldn't be confirmed so the very understanding phone caller said she would pass on the message to marketers proposing a better deal for regional members.

I also had a great discussion with her and she agreed with much of what I had to say about RL in general. (lack of RL presence in private school system being the major underlying issue)

One comment was about the Easter holiday games not making enough advantage of the Easter show. I believe that their should be an NRL game on each of the 4 days (Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Monday).

The lady completely agreed saying that the NRL could take advantage of the many people that are at the show over this period. Imagine 50,000 plus crowds on four consecutive days at ANZ stadium and at family friendly times!

Oh well another marketing idea going to waste.

well theyre playing 2 games at ANZ on that weekend. they obviously wanted to keep eels tigers on the monday after last years success.

and dogs souths makes sense (souths roosters is obviously the round 1 game).

and unfortunately that leaves no clubs that have anz as a home to my knowledge.

should still get close to, or even over 200,000 in the weekend which is a great result imo 25k avg.

She rang the NRL as well.

About her favourite players leaving her team.

Given the crucial time period of this year, it's probably not really fair to compared 18 Feb to 28 Feb

This ... and on the Titans; Annesley talked up our membership with the transparent statement that "the club is progressing well with higher membership at this stage than last year" but without any figures, all from a bloke that hasn't delivered a major sponsor or a club base :(

If you have a look at last years thread there is no clear total membership number till the 28th.

Its not about being fair, just cant find any clear total before then.

with all the comparisons we have been doing this year next year we will have some decent data to compare with.

I signed up for a digital dog membership (really its a season pass for the NRL app and I also get a hat etc). How do these count for membership totals? If they are added, then it's a great way to push memberships, and everybody signing up for one of these, via either the club website or the NRL website (or the app itself) should automatically become a member of whatever club they nominate they support.

This is the same guy from the other week I think.

Agreed just get a supporter membership.

If lots of people do this and pull their finger out we could make a good increase in members in general.

How much did you pay?

That's good.

A Souths supporter membership is $90 I think.

The 3 game membership is only $110 sitting 25m from the try line. Great value!

I've got the 14 game Diamond for $395. I normally go to 9-10 games. I still get great value.

A dogs non ticketed is $50. So I thought paying $40 more for the app was a good idea.

Yeah it's very good value for $90.

The Dogs I believe are trying hard to sign up more members. Seems to be lots of options available like Souths have as well.

last years ANZ membership for the tigers was definitely the best value. $50 for a member kit and 8 games
