I don't mind the sleeveless Nines jerseys, given that the tournament is going to be in the middle of summer. Sure it's not something I'd like to see in the regular NRL season, but I think it's reasonable and practical for a pre-season Nines setting

As for the AFL comparisons, I think we're forgetting here that sleeveless designs are also quite common in touch football tournaments, which are often played in warm months too.

I give them one year before they fade into irrelevance.

Probably. Just like the one summer in the 1990s that the Victorians wore shorts in the one day comp...

I remember in the 1997 Sevens, the North Sydney bears wore shorts that were longer than usual, almost to their knees. Back then its looked weird but different.

I know having the singlet tops are different but its a bit ridiculous playing in them if you ask me.

Good for merchandise but thats it.

Are you lot of your head??
It's a f**king afl jersey !!!!
We are rugby league/apex ball/tackle ball. We have sleeves.

This joke idea of no sleeves should be nothing more than that, I can't believe people don't care..

We ARN'T touch footy...

Get over it. It's the 9's. It's meant to be wacky.

Ps the NBA have been trialling tshirts. No big deal

Of course it's no big deal, I mean what that we discuss on LU is?

You need to read every comment as in my opinion. Not to try to stop people talking about something because you don't agree.

PS I think those NBA T-shirts look shite.

I know these tournaments are meant to wacky and have something different, but its gonna look silly when one team that has sleeves is up against Wests Tigers or Storm.
