Parra's heritage jersey for Saturday's game v Dragons

picture.php

wtf howcome every other team that has side panels on field, can sell a replica at the shops without side panels, so it looks awesome. but the broncos refuse to, and all our heritage jerseys for sale are ruined because of it... grrr

Looks like super hero round is back.

Fmd. These pricks can't help themselves.

Ever heard of novelty wearing thin

For some it maybe wearing thin but the fact is the jerseys sell in their thousands so I dont think the majority feel the same. Little wonder theyre doing it again and the other ISC teams that didnt do it last year are well and truly jumping on the bandwagon...

Very clever of Storm to do something to capture the sentiment of the home crowd in this way...innovative
Quite like it, different, and since it's a one-off it may well make an impact

When did this faux side panel business start anyway?

It's f**king lazy and ruins tradition.

Pretty sure it's to do with sizing and what not - most playing strips have had them for a while. It's generally about having breathable areas under the arm to reduce sweat etc i think?

wouldn't have mattered as your home shirt doesn't clash with many other home jerseys, especially not the Roosters

True but the year before 2009 the Bulldogs had the minor premiership all sewn up playing Tigers at SFS on Friday night, whilst we were playing parra at kogarah ( the night gallop drove from SFS to kogarah in 2nd half to prevent us with the JJG shield).

If they had held on who knows what would have happened...we may have both avoided the hatyne plane instead of crashing out.

If dogs/saints played a GF I would hope sanity would prevail, and we both play in our home strips.

Why's storm got red on it?

Reckon. No red and if the top half was navy blue it would be a nice Jersey and kiwis would snap it up.

I can remember commenting with friends in the early 90's about how good that exact circumstance looked on a Friday Night Football telecast. There was no conflict, no confusion, no need for alternates. Just class.

Side note: If I recall correctly (almost certain it was that game), NBN came back from the first ad break of the delayed telecast with the live feed, so a 6-0 score line after 7/8 minutes was well into the second half and 4 or 5 tries gone, before they corrected a minute later.
