Mighty England sack Al Cook as captain and appoint Eion Morgan.

They might now have a slim chance of making the quarter finals

Faulkner's gotta be one of the first picked. He just thrives under pressure

Has to be there

If Sunshine and Maxwell will be there as well, then that's enough all rounders for mine, though im hearing mitch marsh is a lock.

Id take a specialist spinner, not sure who though

For a spinner who would you pick Lyon or Agar?

Don't think anyone else would be in the picture just those 2.

are you calling Agar a specialist spinner ?

he's a batsman, albeit and ordinary one, who can roll his arm over

Id go for a smokie

Zampa or Boyce (Im tempted to say Brad Hogg too ,lol)

They would most likely only play in 2-3 games tops. If they go for a few there is Smith and Big show to cover the spin. BUT if they can compete and bowl well, then a massive plus and could be used in more games.

Deep down, I think selectors will pick Xavier

Squads from every nation need to be submitted today, so I guess we will know the makeup if not today, within next couple of days sometime

Don't see much Australian cricket, but each time I see Boyce he looks ok.

Is Maxwell a certainty? If so, why?

Maxwell us picked because he is the big show who has all the toys and he can win a game singlehandedly with his awesomeness.

Cause what we keep hearing "he is someone that can win you the world cup"

yes I know, laughable.

Yeah, I see the future - off the top of my head, big performances in finals that have 'won' the World Cup - Clive Lloyd, Viv Richards, Collis King, Joel Garner, Kapil Dev, David Boon, Wasim Akram, Aravinda de Silva, Shane Warne, Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, MS Dhoni...

Glenn Maxwell looks like the sort of player that would sit well as a World Cup final hero

I think sometimes he struggles getting the lego blocks together tbh

Also, he doesn't have big levers, and from your commentary I understand these are also very important!

Not surprised at Milne/Mills/Boult edging out Henry, but shocked and didsppointed at the half arse South African being in, I don't care if his domestic form is good, he's so ordinary it's not funny Neesham >>>>>>> Elliott every day of the week and twice on Saturdays

India, Sri Lanka and the Jaapies look strong, but geez, I look at our side, and Elliott aside I have a good feeling

Bit harsh on Elliott who I rate as a solid player, but no disagreement that Neesham should be in there instead.

That said in the starting XI I doubt either would have won a place so it matters little.

Some bemusing omissions from Pakistan as usual, no Razzaq, Jamshed, Fawad Alam, Gul.

And what a terrible bowling outfit India are bringing to the party.
