I understand that bazza but at the very least a football life member should be able to attend the AGM if he wants to...

You vote for the number of available spots on the board which is 7.
so you get to vote for 7 names on the one ballot paper which will contain all 27 candidates (assuming that is the final number).

Why?
The football club isnt the leagues club Stagger and while i can sympathise with this individual, is it any different to any other non-LC member attending?

if he joins the club before Monday he can probably attend. He just cant vote.

Why? Because the LC virtually disbanded and took total control of the football club meaning those life Myers who gave the club tremendous service are not even allowed to attend.. Assuming Sterlo isn't a member of the LC because he lives in the Central Coast, why can't a guy like Peter Sterling attend the AGM?? Particularly when his picture is plaster all over the hall of fame board downstairs from the Auditorium... I just find it embarrassing

So why not forward the life member - plus Sterlo, and any other hard done by non-members - a membership form?

http://www.parraleagues.com.au/Cont...s/1/Attachments/New_Mbership_forms 2014_1.jpg

Looks like Perpetual Membership is only $115 once only payment - still a fanatstic deal all these years later.

Wouldn't you think that they've already payed their dues after the services they've given to this club?? .. I'm not saying they should be given free reign to run for the board or vote but just attend as a goodwill gesture, too much to asK??

They are allowed to attend. They just need to be members of the PLC to do so.
If you are referring to the recent change of status of the PDRL, this has no bearing on whether these life members could have attended the PLC AGM or not.
If you mean by disbanded the time that DF shifted the NRL licence to the PLC and made the PDRL a toothless kitten, then surely this is when this issue should have been looked after?

And I agree, DF and his Board at the time should have reached into the petty cash tin and given all PDRL life members at the time of the licence transfer a perpetual (paid for) membership of the PLC.

However as a member of the PLC, the AGM for my club is for financial members of my club only, with apologies to Sterlo, Joey and anyone else who isnt allowed in the door but probably should be.

Agree, but hey if certain people didn't wind up the PDRLFC we could have a meeting about football that those members could attend, but well certain former leagues club board members who were in control of that club put pay to that.

So sad, a club with over 65 years of tradition, wound up without even consulting the membership. Stinks on so many levels of bastard acts performed, and I will vehemently argue with any toss pot who thinks not consulting the members about change before putting the club into administration was a good idea.

I would say according to the registered clubs act, that would be illegal for them to attend. Maybe if the FC club wasn't put into voluntary administration by it's board . . . .

My small business does all types of landscaping and strata cleaning

We (my parents and I) currently have 2 residential contracts with 2 strata companies looking after 17 town houses and 36 units. Please real estate jobs and people who I know also.

We do lawn mowing, edges, pruning, hedges, retaining walls, high pressure cleaning, general handyman duties as well as cleaning.

Great so can you answer the original question which was does your company, undertake work for the Parramatta Leagues club group or any entity under its control. It was a simple question, didn't think we needed all this back an forth on it.

Agree 100% and although I have no problem with the PLC withholding the funding I only wish there had been a better way.

Still may get out of administration MITS but only time will tell and if it was to come back, there should be certain board members stamped "never to come near our club again"

Well Jodeci was saying on the facebook page he knew the real story about the FC and that it was no longer in administration, it had been wound up. Now as a member I would have expected a letter to that affect asking me for the required stake I have to put into the club should that happen. But no such letter.

I have just had confirmation that it is still in administration and that the adminstrators are recommending it be dissolved but this hasnt happened as yet. May be as soon as this Friday that the correspondence comes out to members.

I wonder what "real story" there is?
