hopoate really doesn't deserve to be there but he's solid in defence and I think that's why daley picked him.

Josh Jackson starting is an interesting one but that's a massive bench. I think Fifita, Merrin and Klemmer hold the key to us winning.

Uate has errors in his game, Johnston is stil young and not the best at rucking it out.

Hoppa is experience, fairly safe and very good at rucking it out which is very important in Origin - rarely are there long range tries, sides like to play in safe and field position which is why Hoppa's ability to ruck it out is important.

One would imagine that playing in representative teams should be something that players aspire to and work hard for. A reward for exceptional effort and talent. It just goes to show that the whole State of Origin concept is a sham. Just pick the same old war-horses. What's even the f**king point of it? A total disruption to the NRL competition. Manufactured animosity between state and state. Over-hyped exhibition games is all they are. Give me a good club game any day, over this bullshit.
