Brutal performance by Australia. Astonishing that with a field more competitive than that offered by the Rugby World Cup (and has offered more winners since its inception) Australia has managed to maintain such an incredible dominance over the tournament for such a long time.

That England and South Africa - both of whom have spent their fair share of time ranked no.1 in the short form and long form of the game - haven't ever managed to win a single title shows how tough it is, and speaks volumes of just how incredible Australia's depth and composure is in the sport.

Congrats boys - you saved your most incredible performance for the biggest game!

Great victory by Australia,NZ had a fantastic tournament and deserved there spot in the final but they looked a bit lost out there today, nervous and what not, they didn't play there best,Australia didn't really allow them to do so,good all round performance.

Now lets get down to business

Tim Southee is overrated and not as good as Kyle Mills in ODI's which i said like 8 years ago

Haynetrain 1
Tim Southee 0

No surprise the overrated sloggers Finch and Mcullum both did nothing

Haynetrain 1
Sloggers 0

Kane Williamson is good but not as good as Steve Smith which was stated 8 years ago

Haynetrain 1
Kane Williamson 0

Trent Boult will terrorize Aussies for many more years to come

Trent Boult 1
Haynetrain 0
 This will sure rustle a few Jimmies.

Just got home from a mates, Starcs first over set the tone and the Kiwi's never recovered from it. We were far too good when it matter while the Kiwi's relied a chosen few Australia had to man match winners to lean on when i mattered.

When done skipper Clarke on a great ODI career and the perfect way to end it.

Sadly for Kiwi fans the MCG was just too big.........

If starc bowled another 6 balls at McCullum he would have got him out another three times at least, he had no idea.

Hopefully he can continue his form into the test arena, see no reason why he can't

Wasn't there some kiwi dope that kept banging on about what an "average" Aussie side this was?

Most sides struggled big time with their 5th bowler/7th batsmen balance, while Australia left out Mitch Marsh.

Dominated South Africa, dominated the Tri Series, and dominated the big moments in the World Cup. You beauty!
