It would take a pretty catastrophic drop for us to finish behind last year. The race for the eight looks pretty tight which should keep interest floating.

They're one example. It's well publicised most clubs lose money by playing at grounds like Leichhardt, Campbelltown, Kogarah etc.

The Sharks also own their ground - a luxury that other clubs simply do not have.

It doesnt need to be a catastrophic drop to go under 15k. If it keeps going as it is so far it will drop that low bo problem at all

It actually does have to be pretty catastrophic.

Your overt negativity aside, things aren't great- but aren't as horrible as you're making them out to be.

I remember about 15 years ago the Bulldogs were going to build a new home ground at Liverpool. it was to seat about 25-30k fans.. Great idea would have been much better ground than ANZ stadium..West tigers would have used the ground aswell.. Great idea we should revisit this idea.

there may be a 30,000 seat stadium in liverpool in the future. rabbitohs might play some home games there too, as there are a lot of rabbitohs supporters in the south west of sydney (liverpool-macarthur)

The dragons have been let down by their own club, they are to nomadic and have no home and the fans I believe feel alienated.

Tribalism and a feeling of belonging is the most important thing to a sports fan and I believe st George are losing that.

they should just play half of their home games at kogarah and the other half at wollongong

Origin two has the final 500 odd seats to sell at the horrid pricing. Then restricted view and standing room (if released) - I am hoping we only just get over 50k so they finally realise that the cost is destroying the once instant sell out.

And if they do that they won't have to worry about where they play any games at all because they'd more than likely go broke.

So another east coast low is expected to roll in by tomorrow evening. Hopefully it holds off long enough not to effect Souths but game in Wollongong will be veeeery dire on Saturday night if predictions are true.

Funny how they carry on about all sorts of pointless crap in that article but forget to mention that the main reason tickets are not sold out is simply just because they're overpriced.

It's not that... It's just that Queenslanders just aren't as passionate as NSW supporters...

That's how it goes isn't it?

.... It's like 200 for a decent ticket... Compared to 80 for nsw

Lol $80 is not a decent ticket in Sydney, sorry.

And in case you didn't quite catch on, I was being very facetious. Origin tickets are ridiculously overpriced in NSW and QLD.

Batchy Blues = silver? Therefore 75=200

In another comparison your most expensive ticket is 130 for Suncorp it's 265 double the price

Price List for ANZ Game III according ANZ Stadium's site:

Diamond = $285
Platinum = $200
Gold = $145
Silver = $105
Bronze = $50*

*Sold out.

So please tell me again how our most expensive ticket is $130 when three categories are above that, with the most expensive doubling that (and eclipsing your $265).

Of course, this all goes without saying that the viewing experience at Suncorp is vastly superior to the dump that is ANZ, nor that fact that ANZ's capacity is much larger.

Late Edit: Also Blatchy's Blues tickets go multiple categories, and according to ticketek:
Bronze = $76.46
Silver = $132.54
Gold = $173.32
Platinum = $229.32
