2016 Crowd Watch

I went. I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to go watch a loser team on a freezing work night though. While we persist with Thursday and Monday games for television ratings we will continue to get shit crowds. That's the choice the game's administrators have made, TV money over all other considerations.
Couldn't really put it any better. NRL have dug their own grave when putting clashes like this on Thursday.

Went to the game last night, good game on field. Plenty of blue and white, I reckon over half the crowd were doggies supporters. Even in members there was plenty of blue and white. This is even more embarrassing for the Roosters.

We'll probably lose even more for the manly game. That's what you get when you f*ck your fanbase around, be it in Perth with expansion, East coast with sht kick off times, origin fans with ticket prices or anywhere else. Business 101, give the customers what they want. Sadly NRL consider TV the customer rather than the fans.

Whoa hold up.

Why was this "f**king the fanbase around" argument so easily debunked when it came to the Central Coast but is now valid when Perth are receiving what you claim to be similar treatment?

Make up your mind

Bet the TV ratings /viewing figures were pretty good.

You are never going to get decent crowds playing games on Thursday night with the majority of people having to work Fridays, the game didn't kick off till a minute or two before 8pm which is disgusting, means the game finishes close to 10pm, it also means unless people live close by to the ground it rules out public transport as a viable option getting home from the game.

There's just no value at all in going to any Thursday or Monday night games.

At the time CC was getting some ordinary crowds expansion areas were still being led down the garden path, the excuse of monster trucks was what made it laughable. I don't blame CC fans for not turning out post 2015 TV decision, before that we all still had high hopes.

Bet the TV ratings /viewing figures were pretty good.

Which would be fine if:
A) NRL was getting TV money that made killing games worthwhile, which it isn't
B) Fans were compensated in some way for missing out on numerous opportunities to see their team play, which they're not
C) Clubs were getting the lions share of the TV money thus making revenue from fans attendance un-necessary, which they are not.

Only people benefitting out of this Monday/Thursday fiasco are TV companies

Hopefully. Something strange happening on the upper southern tier. I feel about 3000 tickets haven't been released. But restricted view have sold to single seats today.

No matter where the Broncos are on the ladder, when the Storm come to Brisbane always draw a great crowd. In a way, it's a intra QLD Origin clash considering the QLD talent on both sides. Same applies to NQ/Brisbane.

Broncos just posted to FB advising that only people who already have tickets go to the game as tickets are almost gone... I'm gonna predict 43k for this one... And I can't go... Absolutely devastated
