Hope our AFL mates continue to have a bye that last NRL round before the finals every year...

And we think NRL management can make some dud calls...

Thanks Gilligan!!

I know it was announced as 24,000 but the way some on here we're claiming it was 10,000. Crowd looked amazing at aami. Another awesome crowd.

Game would have had the full sell out if members showed up. Shame there's not a buy back option - saw sharks supporters walking away from the ground before the game saying they couldn't buy tickets!

And you know where the bulk of the undercover seats are ? Try nosebleed sections.I honestly don't believe you venture outside your study.

Considering the terrible conditions all day ,(which you have conveniently used in the past for NRL games at NIB Perth0 for explaining a poor turnout, it was reasonable crowd.I am hardly jumping up and down with excitement for the crowd.
Souths with no chance for the semis and The Dogs playing like busteds(which they continued to do last night).Hardly box office material.
But keep up the whining,at least it's consistent.

I was there last week in the rain taking pleasure in watching the Sharks get beat, sat in second section from front and perfectly dry, ANZ has literally tens of thousands of dry seats in the rain in the lower levels. Stop making sht up. I get you think 14k is a decent crowd, your a sharks fan lol.

Don't they have internet in the Shire? It was on the cards to sell out as early as Friday!:eek:

Once again it was in the Goal Zone areas in the central bays behind the posts where it was emptiest. A lot of people have been pretty unhappy at what the club has done in reducing the GA areas. Have been told by Storm that all the seating behind both trylines will be GA once again from Row U upward.

Maybe if there isn't a sprinkle through the day. Rain, hail or shine that game last night should of been at least 25k
I Was hoping for a bigger crowd too, but you don't understand how much rain came down. I was going to go but everyone pulled out due to weather.

You ignored my comment on NIB in wet weather ,that figures and with no live FTA.
I actually have attended ANZ on a few occasions not just once as you have done. You do understand where nose bleed sections are there.
Also have look at the people in wet weather gear near the front when Souths played the Dogs. They were hardly sunbaking FFS.
"Stop making sh*t up" ,this coming from the master of organic movements with his constant ill informed whining.

I will repeat one more time for the dummies.Friday night live on FTA and Fox,pissing down(and pissing is putting it mildly) rain all day without letup, the stadium unpopular as a pig in a Mosque gets 14,700.IMO a reasonable crowd with teh prevailing conditions ,would prefer a lot more, get used to it.

Yep a brilliant assumption "Im a Shark's fan" and will be watching my team at their home ground(not relocated to Perth) until I fall off the perch. The club has record members, income, merchandise sales, sponsorship ,packed stadium each week.
Meantime you will continue to give yourself ulcers ,with your perpetual whining and negativity, and wonder why you are turning people off expanding to Perth.

So a sell out at the Tigers game on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon, doesn't get any better weather wise

Wonder if the ground still holds 20k these days?

Prob rather canberra at home rather than cronulla.

brisbane v titans would be better than brisbane v tigers as well.

14k was a shit crowd but it's patently obvious why. Souths in the final round well out of finals calculations, Dogs playing awful footy, and it had been pouring all day from 8am. Not footy-friendly stuff.

17,704 to break the aggregate for crowds this season - should achieve that at Leichhardt alone.

Also any crowd over 16,400 at Leichhardt will see the Tigers bypass Canterbury on home average crowds into 3rd spot.

Record pay tv ratings for storm game last night

Almost 500k crazy figures

Just shows what can happen when you really hype a game up. That's what the NRL is missing. I know you can have a battle for the minor premiership every game but there are plenty of huge matches that we treat the same as every other. Hopefully after crazy ratings like that we see more matches in the future get that sort of buildup. I won't get my hopes up but i feel like ratings like that must have fox pretty excited.

Considering some of the shit that has gone down this year (like the whole Parra saga) that's a pretty good effort imo. Hopefully next year we see some real growth. Almost every team in the comp has something to look forward to next year and most have a chance of the top 8.

Amazing effort by the tigers and to think they might not make the 8. Despite all the off field turmoil, being shit basically since their inception (especially recent years) and again playing like busteds for half the year they pull crowds like that. I really think Parra and the tigers could have the best crowds in Sydney if they actuallyget their shit together.

Amazing crowd results from the Tigers this year on the back of only mediocre efforts...

I wonder what they could achieve if they had a minor premiership winning year ?

Strange that they are always the first club nominated by the interstaters to be relocated or chopped though...

What warped reality are you in where that is remotely close to true. Pretty much everyone mentions the sharks and Manly for relocation, to point of it becoming a running joke.

Edit: That was more dickish than i intended but really, Manly and sharks have been copping relocation claims for years. I've rarely heard someone say it about the tigers. Apologies for the snark, the flu has been feeling pretty cranky at the world.

Have a read of the 31 page thread in the expansion forum about it...
