Have you noticed how the NRL crowds have gotten lower and lower each season since our Lord Hayne left?

NRL is nothing without the people's champ

Only 12,000 against the Cowboys in Round 2?

What happened?

Luckily they are playing the Tigers at their home this week and will get a couple more...

Bulldogs v South's 43,000
Broncos v Cowboys 46,000
Raiders v Titans 13000
Roosters v Manly 11000
Warriors v Knights 13000
Dragons v Penrith 14000
Tigers V Parramatta 42000
Sharks v Storm 15000

Really need a few big crowds this weekend to pick up from a disappointing start crowd wise. I think the Sydney blockbusters will both be massive and could both go over 50k if the weather is right with the Easter show next door. Wish there was some more promotions... $40 family tickets, discount entry with Easter show passes etc. all teams in decent form lets just pack the place out

I thought I've seen $30 family passes for Monday game and $41 family passes for South V Bulldogs (With the code Easter).

They have moved the Nine Thursday night game to Friday arvo.

You think this will improve the size of the crowd?

All about ratings - the NRL want the Souths/Dogs Good Friday game each year so it doubles up Friday.

Additionally, going head to head with AFL's opening game probably would impact ratings on some level as well so they avoid it. As I said, all about TV.

Don't know if that has been mentioned but the swans are playing their season opener at the SCG at the exact same time as the chooks play Manly at Allianz. The clubs vowed not to et this happen again after the last time in 2012 but this game was originally scheduled at ANZ.

Sun - 19-24, 50% chance of rain, 0-2 mm
